Ensemble Are Underway
Planning is underway to start a Water Valley String Ensemble. If you play the violin, viola, cello, or bass violin, you are encouraged to join this group. All experience levels are welcome. If interested, please call Vicka, 473-9653, or email: wv38965@aol.com.
The 28th annual Stewart reunion will be held Saturday, July 7, in the Masonic Temple, located at 199 Champion Circle, just off Highway 7 South, in Water Valley. Registration begins at 10 a.m. Those attending are asked to bring a “pot luck” dish to share at noon. “We hope to see you there,” stated Patricia Pratt. A benefit car wash for Betty Crawford will be held Saturday, July 13, from 10 a.m. until at Regions Bank on Central Street in Water Valley. The benefit is sponsored by the House of Prayer Church.

Rally Set For July 14
The Tri-Lake Fairgrounds Association will have its 2007 political rally on Saturday, July 14. State and local candidates are invited to speak and concessions will be available. All candidates will be contacted. For more information contact Bobby Murphree at 473-2501.
The Yalobusha General Hospital and Nursing Home Auxiliary (Pink Ladies) is planning to hold a yard sale again in October.
The ladies are asking for donations again this year. When you clean out your closets or garage, don’t throw your usable, clean items away. Call Betty Baker at 473-4901, Flora Mills at 473-3901 or Ann Hurst at 473-9085 to arrange for dropoff.
St. Cyr Commandry No. 6 will hold its next stated meeting on Thursday, June 28, in the Masonic Temple on Champion Circle. Please support your Commandry by making a special effort to attend.
Joint Meeting Planned In Greenwood
The annual “Mid-South Con-Clave”, made up of Odd Fellows and Rebekahs from Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, and Oklahoma, will be held July 20 and 21 at the Ramada Inn in Greenwood.
Shirley Berry will be attending and will entertain at the banquet, which will be held Friday night, July 20.
All members are requested to attend and enjoy the fellowship.
The Water Valley High School graduating class of 1957 will have its 50-year reunion on Saturday, August 4, at the Yalobusha Country Club.
