Goad Family Plans Reunion

    The Goad Reunion will be held August  3, 4 and 5 at Carver Point, located across Grenada Lake from the main park area (Hugh White State Park), 1935 CR 227, Coffeeville. Retirees Schedule Quarterly Meeting

    The Yalobusha County Retired Educational Personnel Association will hold its quarterly meeting on Thursday, July 2, in the Mechanics Bank Community Room at 10 a.m.
    “All members are asked to be prompt and to bring prospective members with them to aid in the effort to enroll all the retirees in our county,” stated Mamie H. Shields, president, and Dorothy A. Kee, secretary.

Election Night Activities Planned
By Fairgounds Association

The Tri-Lakes Fairgrounds Association will broadcast election results the night of the Democratic Primary, on August 7, at the gazebo at City Park.
Election results will be displayed as they are counted according to Bobby Murphree. Concessions will also be offered, and everyone is encouraged to bring a lawn chair.

Jeff Davis Reunion Will Be August 4

  The 1957 Graduation Class of Jeff Davis School will have their 50-year reunion on Saturday night, August 4, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Masonic Temple on Champion Circle. Please bring a covered dish for a pot luck dinner. All spouses, family and friends are invited to attend. “This will be a landmark time in our lives. Hope to see all 13 members of the 1957 Graduation Class there,” stated a committee member.

Masonic Temple Meeting Is Thursday

  St. Cyr Commandery No. 6 will hold its next stated meeting on Thursday, July 26, in the Masonic Temple on Champion Circle. Please support your Commandery by making a special effort to attend.

Class of 1977 Reunion Scheduled For August 3 and 4

  The Water Valley High School Class of 1977 will have a reunion on August 3 and 4. The committee says they are still missing a few of the class members addresses. They are sincerely hoping that they have contacted class members. O’Tuck Class of 1977 Plans Reunion

  The O’Tuckolofa School reunion will be held Saturday, August 11, from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The reunion will be held in the O’Tuckolofa Baptist Church. Food will be furnished. Come and bring your family and friends.

Bingo Action Set For Friday
Night at The VFW

  Bingo will be played Friday night, July 27th at VFW Post 4100’s Home, located at 11535 Highway 315, west of Water Valley. The building opens at 5:30 p.m., sales start at 6 p.m., and the first of 24 games begins at 7 p.m. You must be at least 18 years of age to play.

Danny Sexton And Band Will Play At
VFW Dance Satruday Night

  VFW Post 4100 hosts a Dance  Saturday nights at their Post Home, located at 11535 Highway 315, west of  Water Valley. This Saturday, July 28, Danny Sexton’s Band will be playing. Music begins at 8 p.m. and continues until midnight. “Join us for listening or dancing to country music at the Post Home,” invites Commander Joe Gross.
