Vance and Ferrell both have been key fixtures in the Red Sox success all season long and both were key figures in claiming Pontotoc’s first state championship since the 2004 season.  Vance (9-2) got the job done numerous times during the season on the mound and picked up a 13-3 victory over the Booneville Braves during the tournament. Ferrell was one of the Sox most consistent batters all season long and such was the case during the state tournament.
