 Blue Devils Record Homecoming Victory

 The Water Valley Blue Devils record improved to 2 – 5 following the defeat of the Williams-Sullivan Yellow Jackets Friday night in an action packed game with numerous penalities.

    The Blue Devils scored first, after the Yellow Jackets fumbled on their opening possession with a 25-yard from Davidtron Logan.

    The Yellow Jackets answered in their next possession scoring with 2:40 left in the first quarter. The pace was set for the remaining three quarters each team answered touchdowns with   Water Valley narrowly recording a 53 – 48 win. Logan recorded the most yards for the night with 172 yards and three touchdowns.

    Coach Trent Hammond reported after the game that his squad still needed to work on mistake and penalaties.    

    This week the Devils will return to the Bobby Clark Field facing longtime rival, Bruce. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
