Odom – Naramore Unit In Marriage

  Tanya Nicole Odom and William Randell Naramore were united in marriage on July 28, 2007, in a sunset beachside ceremony at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Sandestin, Florida. Reverend Dan Kuhn of Niceville, Florida officiated the 6:30 p.m. ceremony.

  The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace H. Odom, Jr. of Water Valley. The groom is the son of Floyd Naramore and Ms. Betty Naramore also of Water Valley.

  Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white strapless gown, with a shirred bodice and beaded lace appliques’ and a brown satin sash with an attached chapel length train for the beach. For the reception, the bride wore an elbow length veil. The bride carried a bouquet of light pink and white roses, with white ribbon and lace overlay, and pearl studding.

  During the ceremony music was provided by Violinist David Pretlow of Destin, Florida. Soloist was Lindsay Harwell of Southaven. Serving at the registry and as the bride’s proxy was Alana Reed of Water Valley.

  Mrs. Lisa Steward of Senatobia, aunt of the bride, was Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Bethany Hembree of Jackson, Lacey Harris of Water Valley, Natalie Smith of Birmingham, Alabama, Tammy McMinn of Water Valley, Holly Engberg of Southaven, and cousin of the bride, Molly Odom of Oxford. Junior Bridesmaids were cousins of the bride, Cailon Steward of Senatobia, and Lauren Barnett of Southaven. All attendants wore pink tea-length dresses, accented with a brown satin sash. Flower girls were Neeley Williams of Southaven and Courtney Winters of Water Valley. They wore white dresses, accented with white ribbons. They wore a halo of greenery with mini light pink Gerber Daises and carried white satin baskets filled with pink rose petals.

  Attending the groom as best man was Travis Hendricks of Atoka, Tennessee, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Lee Powell of Senatobia, Norman Steward of Senatobia, Casey Hart of Los Angeles, California, Trey Sandifer of Leland, and Junior Grooman was Cameron Steward of Senatobia.

  Before the wedding Jack Gurner of Water Valley took pictures of the bride and groom. The pictures were used in different locations throughout the reception area. Mrs. Trisha Keffer of Destin, Florida with Summertime Beach Portraits was the photographer. Mrs. Tamara Turner of Sunshine Wedding Company was wedding coordinator and photographer. Cheryl Harris and Ervalene Odom, aunts of the bride, served as coordinators during the reception. After the rings were exchanged, the couple each released a white dove signifying their love. At the end of the ceremony, Reveren Kuhn led the prayer and then passed out blessing stones to family and friends. Everyone followed the bride and groom to the ocean to make a wish while throwing their stones into the ocean.

  Following the ceremony the bride’s parents honored the couple with a reeption at the Finz Loft Restaurant of Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Music was provided by the band, “The Desires” of Montgomery, Alabama. Mrs. Barbara Miller, special events coordinator of the Finz, directed the food and entertainment for the reception. Everyone enjoyed a delicious seafood buffet, along with dancing. For the final touches, Sandestin pastry Chef Yascha Beckman worked with the bride to create the perfect sweet ending to the couple’s special day. The master chef created a moist strawberry layered cake with butter cream filling. White and pink roses were plaed on the top and sides of the pink cake. The groom’s cake was a three-dimensional football with a UM monogram for the University of Mississippi.

  A bridal luncheon was held the day before the wedding in Anglers Beachside Grill in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. While the ladies were at the luncheon, the groom and groomsmen enjoyed a chartered fishing trip on the Gulf.

  Following a honeymoon trip to Ocho Rios, Jamica, the coule is at home in Oxford, where she is a third grade teacher at Oxford Elementary and the groom is the New Car Sales Manager at Grisanti Rebel Motors.
