Literary Club Will Dedicate Flag Pole At Blackmur Memorial Library
A Dedication Ceremony for the new flag pole at Blackmur Memorial Library will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2007. The flag pole was donated by the Water Valley Literary Club. The public is cordially invited to attend this ceremony and refreshments will be served.
VFW Plans Bing Action Friday
Bingo will be played at VFW Post 4100’s Home Friday night, November 23. Everyone is invited to join the members of Post 4100 for a fun filled night of Bingo at their post home, located at 11535 Hwy. 315, west of Water Valley. The building opens at 5:30 p.m., sales start at 6 p.m., and the first of 24 games begins at 7 p.m. You must be at least 18 years of age to play.
Harmon Jamboree Set For Weekend
The Marton Harmon Musical Jamboree will be held Friday and Saturday, November 23rd and 24th, beginning at 4 p.m. each night. The event will be held at Harmon’s Restaurant and everyone is invited to attend.
Methodist Men Will Provide Christmas Trees To Needy Families
The First United Methodist Church Men will be providing free locally-grown red cedar Christmas trees to needy families during December. If you know of a family who will not have a Christmas tree this year, please contact the First United Methodist Church at 473-2682 or James Person at 473-6953.
Jeff Davis Schedules Christmas Reunion
Jeff Davis School will hold its Christmas Reunion on Saturday, December 1, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Masonic Lodge on Champion Circle. “Please bring a covered dish and join us for a fun fellowship,” says Jim Tate, Program Committee Chairman. All former students, their families and friends are invited to attend.

Come Shake A Leg At The VFW
It’s party time at VFW Post 4100, Water Valley. The dance features a live band every Saturday and this Saturday, November 24th, the featured band will be the Danny Sexton Band. Music begins at 8 p.m. and plays until midnight. “Join us for listening or dancing to country music at the Post Home, located at 11535 Hwy. 315, west of Water Valley,” states Commander Joe Gross.
