  The Women’s Ministry at Everdale Missionary Baptist Church, located in Water Valley, is a support network that offers hope and promotes healing of all types of hurts. The ministry members believe that God is a provider and a sustainer. He gave us the best gift that anyone could possible receive – Jesus Christ.
    The ministry meets weekly to have devotion and discuss different issues that effect women. Each meeting, the group has a different guest speaker who has experienced the topic of discussion to facilitate and offer encouragement and hope. The atmosphere is in a comfortable setting with a nonjudgmental attitude.

  A new entertainment establishment, Freddie Sportsclub Lounge, located just outside of Oakland in Tallhahatchie County is being announced. Proceeds from this will benefit semi-pro softball and basketball programs in Water Valley. It is located on your right just as you enter Tallahatchie County.
  The opening will be Friday and Saturday, December 28 and 29 and it will be open every Friday and Saturday from 8 p.m. until. It is managed by Freddie Folson. Adults only will be allowed and there will be a DJ each weekend. Live bands are scheduled in 2008. This is a place for those who want to go out, gather with co-workers and friends and enjoy dancing, listening to music and having a good social time.
  For 25 years I have been places here and there for night shows, so I know what it takes to run a business. This is another way of sponsoring Lady’s and Men’s Baketball and Softball Teams in Water Valley.
