Saturday, January 26

    The Sarepta Baptist Church, located nine miles north of Bruce on Highway 9, will have a gospel concert Saturday, January 26, beginning at 6 p.m.     

    Featured singers will be The Masters Quartet of Booneville and Sandy Glass of York, Pennsylvania. There will also be a reunion of former members of the original Masters Quartet. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information call (662) 720-2069.

    There will be a special program at Brusher Fork M.B. Church Saturday, January 26, beginning at 2 p.m. The church is located at Highway 51 and Carpenter Road in Grenada. Special guests will be Charity Baptist Church of Hattiesburg.

    “The speaker will be a  7-year-old. Everyone is cordially invited to attend,” stated Pastor B. B. Brooks.

    Sis. Mary Kerr will bringing her first sermon at Oak Grove C.M.E. Church on January 26, beginning at 6 p.m. “Everyone is invited to come out and be with us during this special occasion, helping lift up the name of Jesus,” states Pastor Michael Stephen and the Oak Grove Church Family.

Sunday, January 27

    Everdale M.B. Church’s youth department will sponsor its second annual Praise Dance Team Program Sunday, January 27, beginning at 3 p.m.         “Please come out and help lift up the name of our Lord and Savior in dance,” stated Rev. Phillip Brackett, Pastor, and Sister Tracie Lee, Youth Director.

Tuesday, January 29

    Continuing the weekly Y-Fest ‘08 Prayer Meetings will be the meeting held Tuesday, January 29, in Sylva Rena Baptist Church, beginning at 7 p.m. Y-Fest ‘08 will be held February 29-March 1, in the Multi-Purpose Building at Coffeeville. Steve Knox will be the  speaker and The Chris White Band will lead in praise.

Sunday, February 3

    Pastor Eric Nelson and the members of Chapel Hill M.B. Church cordially invite everyone to come and worship with them in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, during their Pastor Aid Program, which will be held February 3, beginning at 3 p.m. Pastor Mitchell Steen and his church families will be the special guests for this service. The program is sponsored by Minister Geraldine Booker and the Pastor’s Aid Committee.

 “Come out and be blessed,” concluded Pastor Nelson.

Saturday, June 28

    New Providence Missionary Baptist Church’s Christmas club committee announces their first 2008 Battle of the Choirs. This event will be held June 28, beginning at noon in The Hosanna Family Worship Center. The Committee is asking all heavenly choirs and groups in the North Mississippi Area to come out and show case their skills in song, dance, and praise. They are now accepting registration forms. Each choir or group entering will be required to pay a $25.00 registration fee.
