Sunday, February 3
Pastor Eric Nelson and the members of Chapel Hill M.B. Church cordially invite everyone to come and worship with them in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, during their Pastor Aid Program, which will be held February 3, beginning at 3 p.m. Pastor Mitchell Steen and his church families will be the special guests for this service. The program is sponsored by Minister Geraldine Booker and the Pastor’s Aid Committee.

Tuesday, February 5
Another weekly Y-Fest Prayer Meeting will be held in the Sylva Rena Baptist Church Tuesday, February 5, beginning at 7 p.m. Y-Fest ‘08 will be held February 29 and March 1 in the Yalobusha County Multi-Purpose Building in Coffeeville. Steve Knox will be the speaker and The Chris White Band will lead in praise.
Saturday, February 9
Everdale M.B. Church’s Youth Department will have its third annual Valentine dance on Saturday, February 9, beginning at 6 p.m. The celebration will be in the Everdale Christian Life Building, located at 410 Calhoun Street, Water Valley. Tickets are $5. Rev. Phillip Brackett serves as pastor, and Sister Tracie Lee as youth director.

Everdale M.B. Church will have their annual Black History Program February 10, beginning at 4 p.m. Reverend Kevin Ramsey, with Spirit of Excellence Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. “Food will be served shortly after the morning worship services, so come on out and help celebrate with us,” invites Rev. Phillip Brackett.

An ordination program for Minister Steve Allen, Minister Kelvin Hervey, and Minister Lugene Walker will be held Sunday, February 17, beginning at 3 p.m. in Everdale M.B. Church.
“Come out and help us celebrate the ordinations of these three men of God,” invites Rev. Phillip Brackett, pastor, and the members of Everdale. Everdale is located at 410 Calhoun Street in Water Valley.
Saturday, June 28
New Providence Missionary Baptist Church’s Christmas club committee announces their first 2008 Battle of the Choirs. This event will be held June 28, beginning at noon in The Hosanna Family Worship Center. The committee members are asking all heavenly choirs and groups in the north Mississippi area to come out and showcase their skills in song, dance, and praise. They are now accepting registration forms. Each choir or group entering will be required to pay a $25 registration fee.
