Everdale M.B. Church’s Youth Department will have its third annual Valentine dance on Saturday, February 9, beginning at 6 p.m. The celebration will be in the Everdale Christian Life Building, located at 410 Calhoun Street, Water Valley. Tickets are $5. Rev. Phillip Brackett serves as pastor, and Sister Tracie Lee as youth director.
Sunday, February 10
Everdale M.B. Church will have their annual Black History Program February 10, beginning at 4 p.m. Reverend Kevin Ramsey, with Spirit of Excellence Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. “Food will be served shortly after the morning worship services, so come on out and help celebrate with us,” invites Rev. Phillip Brackett.
The Pine Grove West Church Family is having its Black History Program on February 10, beginning at 2:30 p.m. “Come and share with us,” stated Pastor Cleveland Alexander.
Pine Grove East M.B. Church will have its annual Black History Program February 10, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The speaker for this occasion will be Pastor A. C. Barnes of Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church in Duck Hill. It is hoped that his choir and church family will be able to accompany him. “To all our sisters and brothers in Christ, we encourage you to attend,” says Pastor Johnny Roland and the Pine Grove East Church Family.

An ordination program for Minister Steve Allen, Minister Kelvin Hervey, and Minister Lugene Walker will be held Sunday, February 17, beginning at 3 p.m. in Everdale M.B. Church.
“Come out and help us celebrate the ordinations of these three men of God,” invites Rev. Phillip Brackett, pastor, and the members of Everdale. Everdale is located at 410 Calhoun Street in Water Valley.
Pastor Eric Nelson and members of Chapel Hill M.B. Church cordially invite everyone to come out and be blessed during their Fellowship Program, being held February 17, beginning at 3 p.m. Pastor Adam Tyson and the Miles Church Family will be special guests.

The St. Andrew Church family will celebrate their Black History Program February 17, with their 11 a.m. service. The speaker will be Minister Antonio Kimble. Dinner will be served. “Everyone is invited to come and be blessed,” states Rev. Sidney Towns, pastor, and Sis. Veterine Bynum, secretary.

Union Hill C.M.E. Church will have its annual Black History Program Saturday, February 23, beginning at 5 p.m. Reverend Adam Tyson of Miles C.M.E. Church will be the guest speaker. He will be accompanied by his church family. “Come out and celebrate with us,” invites Rev. James Johnson.
Saturday, June 28
New Providence Missionary Baptist Church’s Christmas club committee announces their first 2008 Battle of the Choirs. This event will be held June 28, beginning at noon in The Hosanna Family Worship Center. The committee members are asking all heavenly choirs and groups in the north Mississippi area to come out and showcase their skills in song, dance, and praise. They are now accepting registration forms. Each choir or group entering will be required to pay a $25 registration fee.
