Sunday, February 17

    An ordination program for Minister Steve Allen, Minister Kelvin Hervey, and Minister Lugene Walker will be held Sunday, February 17, beginning at 3 p.m. in Everdale M.B. Church.

    “Come out and help us celebrate the ordinations of these three men of God,” invites Rev. Phillip Brackett, pastor, and the members of Everdale.     

    Everdale is located at 410 Calhoun Street in Water Valley.

    Pastor Eric Nelson and members of Chapel Hill M.B. Church cordially invite everyone to come out and be blessed during their fellowship program, set for February 17, beginning at 3 p.m. Pastor Adam Tyson and the Miles Church Family will be special guests.

    “We will be praising the Lord in truth and spirit,” stated Pastor Nelson and Sis. Dorothy Jenkin, sponsor.

    The St. Andrew Church family will celebrate their Black History Program February 17, with their 11 a.m. service. The speaker will be Minister Antonio Kimble. Dinner will be served. “Everyone is invited to come and be blessed,” states Rev. Sidney Towns, pastor, and Sis. Veterine Bynum, secretary.

    Sanders Chapel will have their annual Black History Program on February 17, beginning at 3 p.m. The speaker for this event will be Pastor Michael Stevenson of the Oak Grove Church. His church family will accompany him. “Everyone is cordially invited to attend this special service,” stated Pastor Mitchell Steen and the Sanders Chapel Church Family.

    Spring Hill North M.B. Church will again this year be celebrating its annual Black History Program on February 17, beginning at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Dr. Germain McConnell from the University of Mississippi.

    “We are asking for your normal support in this glorious occasion,” stated Pastor Sammy Townes and the Spring Hill Church Family. Sis. Marilyn Williams serves as chairperson of this program.

 

Tuesday, February 19

    The weekly Y-Fest Prayer Meeting will be held February 19, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Elam Baptist Church. Y-Fest ‘08 will be held February 29 and March 1 in the Yalobusha County Multipurpose Building at Coffeeville. Steve Knox will be the speaker for this event and The Chris White Band will lead in praise.

 

Saturday, February 23

    Union Hill C.M.E. Church will have its annual Black History Program Saturday, February 23, beginning at 5 p.m. Reverend Adam Tyson of Miles C.M.E. Church will be the guest speaker. He will be accompanied by his church family. “Come out and celebrate with us,” invites Rev. James Johnson.

 

Sunday, February 24

    The Everdale youth department will have a youth fellowship program on Sunday, February 24 beginning at 3 p.m.  Sister Pamela Pomerlee will be the special guest speaker along with Sanders Chapel and Pleasant Grove youth choirs.  Please come out and help us lift up the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Rev. Phillip Brackett is pastor and Sister Tracie Lee is director of the youth department.

    Bayson Chapel Church will have its Black History Program Sunday, February 24, beginning at 4 p.m. Rev. Marcus Dudley and the Moores Chapel Church Family will be special guests for the afternoon.

    “Please come and celebrate during this great program with us,” invites Rev. Amos Sims, Pastor.

 

Saturday, June 28

 Is your Christian choir or group the best in Mississippi? If so, enter the 2008 Battle of Choirs and Groups. This will be one of the biggest charity events of the year. This event will be held at the Hosanna Family Worship Center in Batesville on June 28, 2008, beginning at 12 p.m. All proceeds will go towards feeding the needy families and seniors in the North Mississippi Area. Deadline to enter is May 31, 2008.
