    Union Hill C.M.E. Church will have its annual Black History Program Saturday, February 23, beginning at 5 p.m. Reverend Adam Tyson of Miles C.M.E. Church will be the guest speaker. He will be accompanied by his church family. “Come out and celebrate with us,” invites Rev. James Johnson.

    Pastor George Forrest and the Rocky Mountain Church Family will be having their annual Black History Program on Saturday, February 23, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Bro. Elijah Monday, owner of 94.5 WJIA Radio Stations of Greenville, Pine Bluff, Arkansas and West Helena, Arkansas. “We will be serving some old time cooked food. This is a night you don’t want to miss. Come out and help us show Bro. Monday some love,” invites Pastor Forrest.

Sunday, February 24

    The Everdale youth department will have a youth fellowship program on Sunday, February 24, beginning at 3 p.m.  Sister Pamela Pomerlee will be the special guest speaker accompanied by Sanders Chapel and Pleasant Grove youth choirs.  Please come out and help us lift up the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Rev. Phillip Brackett is pastor and Sister Tracie Lee is director of the youth department.

    Bayson Chapel Church will have its Black History Program Sunday, February 24, beginning at 4 p.m. Rev. Marcus Dudley and the Moores Chapel Church Family will be special guests for the afternoon.

February 29 & March 1

  A Yard Sale, sponsored by the First Christian Church “Relay for Life” Team, “Christian Soldiers” will be held at the church February 29, and March 1, from 7 a.m.-until each day.

Sunday, March 9

    The Chapel Hill Church Family will be celebrating their pastor’s seventh year anniversary March 9 beginning at 3 p.m. The church’s pastor is Rev. Eric Nelson. Pastor Nick Reed and the Persimmon M.B. Church Family of Enid will be special guests. “Come out and be blessed. We are planning to have a joyful time in the Lord,” invites Sis. Martha Walton, sponsor.

Saturday, June 28

    Is your Christian choir or group the best in Mississippi? If so, enter the 2008 Battle of Choirs and Groups. This will be one of the biggest charity events of the year. This event will be held at the Hosanna Family Worship Center in Batesville on June 28 beginning at noon All proceeds will go towards feeding the needy families and seniors in the north Mississippi area. The deadline to enter is May 31.
