The Yalobusha County Soil and Water Conservation District is hosting the 22nd Annual Wildlife Tasting Buffet on Thursday, March 2008.
The event will be held at the Multi-Purpose building on Hwy. 7 in Coffeeville. Sherry Surrette with the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science will present a seminar on endangered species during this much-anticipated yearly event.
Everyone who loves to cook wildlife is encouraged to enter a dish in the tasting contest. This year organizers will award winners with cash prizes: First place, $75; second place, $50 and third place, $25. The wildlife dish judging starts at 6 p.m. No entries will be accepted after 6:30.
In addition to samples of the special wildlife dishes prepared by the guests at this event, organizers will also serve chili and stew.
The doors will open to the public at 6:00 pm and the program will start at 6:30 pm. There will be a $2 admission.
