Thursday, March 20

    There will be a Holy Thursday Service at Water Valley First United Methodist Church at 6 p.m., celebrating the Lord’s Initiation of the Eucharist prior to His sacrificial suffering and death. “Everyone is invited to take part in this very meaningful service,” says Rev. Barry Dickerson, pastor.

Sunday, March 23

    Hopewell M.B. Church will have their Easter Program Sunday, March 23, beginning at 8:45 a.m. “All people of God are welcome to come as we celebrate Easter with Biblicals of the Passover” Come expecting to be blessed and learn the real Easter Story—how He died and rose in our hearts,” states Elder Lee V. Matthews, Sr., pastor.

    The morning Easter Sunday Service at Woodland Hills Baptist Church will be held at the regular time of 10:30 a.m. Prior to services, breakfast will be served between the hours of 8 and 9 a.m. Rev. Ken Izzard will bring the message and there will be special music by the choir. This will be the only service of the day.     

    “Everyone is cordially invited to join us for breakfast and for the worship service,” says Bro. Izzard.

Friday, March 31

    The Parrish Grove Missionary Baptist Church, located at 11 CR 23, in Oakland, will have their Seven Cries from Calvary Program on Good Friday at noon.     “The Parrish Grove Church Family and I cordially invite everyone to attend this special service,” states Rev. Grady McKinney, pastor.

Sunday, April 13

    The Green Goshen C.M.E. Church Family is hosting a Four Gospel Writers Program April 13, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Guests speakers will be: Rev. Adam Tyson, pastor of Miles Memorial C.M.E. Church of Water Valley; Rev. James Johnson, pastor of Union Hill C.M.E. Church, Water Valley; Rev. Michael Stephens, pastor of Oak Grove C.M.E. Church, Water Valley; and Rev. Brian Davis, pastor of Carr’s Chapel C.M.E. Church, Oakland.

    “Come one, come all, and let us give God the Praise as these four speakers bring us the word of God for God’s people,” stated Pastor Cherodrick Jeffries.
