Sunday, April 20

The Everdale MB Church youth department will  have a king and queen fellowship program on Sunday, April 20 at 3 p.m.  “Please come out and help us to lift up the name of our Lord and Savior,” urged  Rev. Phillip Brackett, pastor. Other organizers include Sister Tracie Lee, Youth Director and Sister Sandra Woodard, clerk.

Monday, April 21

Bethel Baptist Church will host the Yalobusha Baptist Associational Spring meeting April 21 beginning at 7 p.m.  Bro. Bob Cook, Pastor of Haven Hill Baptist Church will be the guest speaker.  

April 23 – 25

    Oak Grove C.M.E. Church will have its spring revival on April 23, 24, and 25, beginning nightly at 7 p.m. Speaker for these services will be Rev. Morris Stephen, pastor of Bates Chapel of Coldwater.

    “Everyone is invited to come and get blessed as they share these special nights with us,” stated Pastor Michael Stephen and the Oak Grove Church family.

Saturday, April 26

There will be a benefit program at the Mt. Moriah Association Building on April 26, beginning at 6 p.m. for Mr. and Mrs. Lucious Ingram, who lost their home in a fire. All choirs and soloist are invited to come out and participate and help make this program a great success. Sunday, April 27

Everdale M.B. Church will have their Women in Hats Parade April 27, beginning at 3 p.m. The theme for the program will be, Hallelujah and Triumph (H.A.T.). Guest speaker will be Minister Willie Cunningham of First New Hope M.B. Church of Grenada. “The members of Everdale and I cordially invite all church families to share in this special program. We are looking forward to worshipping with you on this day. Ladies, please wear your hats,” says Rev. Phillip Brackett, pastor.

    Everdale is located at 410 Calhoun Street, Water Valley.

  The members of Spring Hill North M.B. Church proudly announce their new leader is Pastor Anthony Barnes. Pastor Barnes quotes scripture which says, “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil to give you hope in your final outcome.” Jeremiah 29:11.

    On April 27, beginning at 3 p.m., the Spring Hill North Church will have an installation program for their new pastor. Guest speaker for this program will be Pastor Edward Williams from Springhill Baptist Church in Starkville. “We are truly excited about this day. Everyone is cordially invited to come and share with us on this great occasion,” states Bro. Cornelius Hairston, Charirman of Deacons, and the entire Spring Hill North Church family.

Friday, May 2

    Oak Grove C.M.E. Church will sell fish plates on Friday, May 2, starting at 11 a.m. and continuing until 6 p.m. The plates will be $7 each. Plates will be delivered to plants and businesses, but there must be at least five or more orders to any destination. The plates will be sold at Miles Memorial C.M.E. Church’s Fellowship Hall.
