    The Bride By Grace ladies ministry will have a spaghetti dinner May 16 from 5-7 p.m. Plates are $5 each and include spaghetti, green beans, potato salad, bread and dessert. Dinner will be served in the fellowship hall at Bride By Grace Church, formerly New Beginnings Building on Main Street in Water Valley.

    The fellowship entrance is located across from Fred’s Dollar Store. Tickets are being sold now. To order call (662) 473-6045.

Saturday, May 17

Mt. Liberty Church will have its annual cemetery decorating day Saturday, May 17 starting at 10 a.m.  Organizers encourage those attending to bring a dish for the noon lunch. This is a great time to remember your loved ones who have passed on and to reunite with friends and loved ones you haven’t seen in a long time, said a church spokesperson.

    Miles Memorial C.M.E. Church will be selling barbeque plates Saturday, May 17, from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall, located on Simmons Street. Plates will be your choice of boston butt or rib tips, baked beans, slaw, and bread. Cost will be $6 per plate. Drinks and dessert are extra.. “Thanking you in advance for your support,” stated Rev. Adam Tyson, pastor.

Sunday, May 18

    Sanders Chapel M. B. Church will host an ordination service for Brother Tommy Lynn Turner and Brother Jeffery Matthews on May 18, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Mitchell Steen will be the speaker.

Sunday, May 25

     The annual Lovejoy Church homecoming will be held on Sunday, May 25, beginning at 10:30 a.m., at the Church in Panola County. Everyone is invited for a time of fellowship and worship. There will be a potluck picnic on the grounds after the service. Lovejoy is a Methodist Church founded in 1884 by early settlers in this area.

Sunday, June 1

  The Sanders Chapel M.B. Church family cordially invites everyone to come out and worship with them during their youth day program June 1, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The Everdale youth choir and praise team will be the special guests.

Shiloh Baptist Church, Big Creek  will have homecoming services on Sunday, June 1, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Please make plans to attend this special time of worship, fellowship, visiting with friends and family and remembering the past together.   Dr. Johnny Hearn, Pastor will be bringing the message.

    On June 1, the Delay Baptist Church will observe homecoming during the eleven o’clock service, followed by lunch at noon.

    The Delay Road Baptist Church family would also like to express their thanks to church musicians Betty Appleton, Paul Phillips, and Mr. and Mrs. Callahand from Camp Ground Baptist Church, for providing music during their revival.

     Delay Baptist Church also announces vacation Bible school will begin June 1 and continue through June 5, from 6 until 8 p.m. each night. Classes will be held for kindergarten through sixth grade.

Sunday, June 7

    Gospel Tones will celebrate their 22nd year anniversary, beginning at 7 p.m. on June 7 in the Chapel Hill M.B. Church at Water Valley. The climax will be on June 15, beginning at 5 p.m. in the Springhill North M.B. Church, Water Valley. The theme of these programs is “Don’t Put Off Today for Tomorrow”. “Everyone is invited to come and be guests of the Gospel Tones at these special programs,” stated Josie Drane of The Gospel Tones.
