Track Team Finishes Season In Jackson

The Water Valley Track Teams had nine players who made it to the state track meet on Friday, May 9.
Girls who attended this event include Brittany Weekly and Vernada Woodard. Brittany finished fourth in the high jump and Vernada came in sixth in the shot-put.
Boys making this prestigious event were Laquinton Horton, Johnathan Woodard, Antonio Hoskins, Eric Buckley, Corey Carr, D. C. Logan, and Tavis Toles.
Antonio finished fifth in the Discus and Laquinton came in seventh in the 400-meter dash.
In the 4×2 relay, the team took fourth place. Team members are Corey, Eric, D. C. and Laquinton.
The 4×4 relay team, composed of Laquinton, Tavis, Johnathan, D. C., and Logan, garnered a fifth place position.
“Our track teams had a very good season,” stated Coach Murray Dixon.
