Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church will host its annual cemetery clean-up and memorial cookout on Saturday, May 24. All former members, friends, and those with family members buried in the cemetery are asked to attend, assist with the work, and to enjoy the food and fellowship. Anyone wishing to contribute to the cemetery fund may mail donations to: Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund, c/o Lillie Roberts, 120 Wayne Drive Ext., Coffeeville, MS 38922.

Everdale Missionary Baptist Church’s youth department is sponsoring a carnival to be held Saturday, May 24, from 9 a.m. until, at the church. There will be food, games and prizes.
Sunday, May 25
Homecoming and Memorial Day services are planned at New Providence M.B. Church for Sunday, May 25, beginning at 3 p.m. Lunch will be served immediately after morning services.
Rev. Lloyd V. Anderson of Memphis, pastor of Massey Grove M.B. Church of Oakland, will be the guest speaker. He will be accompanied by his church family. Special music will be presented by Everdale Missionary Baptist Church Choir.

There will be a benefit program for Sis. Martha Clyde Telford the fifth Saturday in May (May 31), beginning at 6 p.m. The benefit will be held at Oak Grove Church. “Come out and show your love for our Sister in Christ. God loves a cheerful giver,” states Sponsor, Pastor Kenny Rogers.

Sunday, June 1
The Sanders Chapel M.B. Church family cordially invites everyone to come out and worship with them during their youth day program June 1, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The Everdale youth choir and praise team will be the special guests.
Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, located at 985 CR 169, Coffeeville, will celebrate their pastor and wife (Elder Lee V. Matthews, Sr Pastor) “Love Day” on June 1. Pastor John Keeler and the Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church Family of Coffeeville will be special guests during the 11 a.m. services. A fellowship luncheon will be served after the morning worship service, and the evening service will convene at 3 p.m. with Guest Pastor Richard Brown and the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Family of Batesville.

ALOHA! Jump start your vacation Bible school. Under the direction of Katherine Jones and Rubijo Purdy, the Bethel Baptist Church youth and children’s choir will present the VBS Musical “Outrigger Island” June 1 at 6 p.m.

Vacation Bible School will be held at Water Valley First Baptist Church June 2-8, 8:30-11:30 a.m. each day. VBS is for children, who have completed Pre-school through Sixth Grade.
“Set Sail for Outrigger Island! It will be a week of non-stop action as you learn how to live God’s unshakeable truth. Exploer five Bible truths—God Is Real; Jesus Is God’s Son; Jesus Is The Only Way; The Bible Is God’s Word; and My Actions Show What I Believe. By the end of the week you will have learned what it means to know, speak, and live the truth.
“In this one-week adventure, you will hear Bible stories, participate in cool crafts, motivating music, eat snacks at the Snack Shack, and play games at the Recreation Reef.
“Outrigger Island: Living God’s Unshakeable Truth will be an event to remember! Come Join Us,” invites Minister of Youth Hal Clark.
Sunday, June 7
Gospel Tones will celebrate their 22nd year anniversary, beginning at 7 p.m. on June 7 in the Chapel Hill M.B. Church at Water Valley. The climax will be on June 15, beginning at 5 p.m. in the Springhill North M.B. Church, Water Valley. The theme of these programs is “Don’t Put Off Today for Tomorrow”. “Everyone is invited to come and be guests of the Gospel Tones at these special programs,” stated Josie Drane of The Gospel Tones.
Sanders Chapel will be hosting their annual Father’s Day Program June 15, starting at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Eric Nelson will be the special guest, feeding the sheep of God the Divine Food of Life. “Come and be blessed,” invites Pastor Mitchell Steen and Sis. Ann Matthews, Program Chairperson.
