Saturday, June 7

    Gospel Tones will celebrate their 22nd year anniversary, beginning at 7 p.m. on June 7 in the Chapel Hill M.B. Church at Water Valley. The climax will be on June 15, beginning at 5 p.m. in the Springhill North M.B. Church, Water Valley. The theme of these programs is “Don’t Put Off Today for Tomorrow”. “Everyone is invited to come and be guests of the Gospel Tones at these special programs,” stated Josie Drane of The Gospel Tones.

    A banquet, honoring Pastor George Forrest and his wife, Minister Janice Forrest, will be held Saturday, June 7, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Rocky Mt. M.B. Church Fellowship Hall. Rev. John Body, pastor of New Foundation Baptist Church of Greenwood, will be the guest speaker. Tickets for the banquet are $10 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Pastor Forrest is in his 15th year of leadership at Rocky Mt. Please make plans to come out and help us in honoring him and Mrs. Forrest. For tickets contact Ms. Mary G. Monday, June 9

  Come to a “Beach Blast” at Camp Ground Baptist Church for a week of Bible study and fun! There will be classes for toddlers to early teens. Classes begin June 9 and last through June 13, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. each evening. Come join in learning about God’s love, truths, and His plans for your life. For those youngsters wishing to attend and needing transportation, call Bro. David Ross, pastor, at 473-4155.

  Green Goshen C.M.E. Church in Water Valley will have their Missionary Program Sunday, June 9, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Cathy Lee of Mt. Grove Church will be the speaker for the occasion.

June 10 – 13

    Hopewell Baptist Church has scheduled their vacation Bible school from 6 to 8 p.m.m June 10-13, Tuesday thru Friday. Graduation will be prior to morning services at 11 a.m. Sunday, June 15.

    Pastor Rick Glidewell encourages the young people and adults (there will be a VBS adult class) to make plans to attend for we are expecting great things to happen!

Sunday, June 15

    Sanders Chapel will be hosting their annual Father’s Day Program June 15, starting at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Eric Nelson will be the special guest, feeding the sheep of God the Divine Food of Life. “Come and be blessed,” invites Pastor Mitchell Steen and Sis. Ann Matthews, Program Chairperson.

  Union Hill C.M.E. Church is having their annual Father’s Day Program, along with their morning worship service, on June 15, beginning at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Woodrow Daniel, III, “Each and everyone is welcome to come out and take part in this program,” states Rev. James Johnson, pastor, and the church family.

  Sanders Chapel will have their Father’s Day Program on the third Sunday in June (June 15), beginning at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Eric Nelson will bring the message. He will be accompanied by his church family from Vaiden. “Everyone is invited to attend this special service,” states Pastor Mitchell Steen and Bro. Curtis Matthews, sponsor.

    The Mt. Moriah District Usher’s Federation and the annual luncheon will be held at the Mt. Grove M.B. Church, Highway 7 South, Coffeeville, the third Sunday in June (June 15), beginning at 3 p.m. “Everyone is invited to attend. All ushers are asked to attend and to please wear your uniforms,” says Usher Federation President Willie Baker.

Sunday, June 22

  A camp meeting style revival will be held at Community Full Gospel, located on Highway 32 East, Charleston, Sunday, June 22, through Wednesday, June 25, with Gerald Crabb, Betty Shaver and Still Blessed. Sunday, July 6

    Everdale Missionary Baptist Church will have their annual homecoming celebration Sunday, July 6, beginning at 3 p.m. Reverend John Crowder, pastor of Spring Hill West MBC in Oxford, and his church family will be special guests for the day. “Come out and be blessed,” says Rev. Phillip Brackett, pastor. Sis. Dollie Ann Henderson is chairperson of the program and Sis. Sandra Woodard is church clerk. Everdale is located at 410 Calhoun Street in Water Valley.
