    Hopewell M.B. Church is sponsoring a benefit program for their pastor, Elder Lee V. Matthews, Sr., on October 11, beginning at 6 p.m. The public is cordially invited to attend this blessed occasion, scheduled to take place in the Hopewell Worship Center, located at 985 CR 169, Coffeeville. “It would be an honor to have you join us,” stated Ruthie White for the Hopewell Church family.

    Mt. Liberty Church, located at 603 CR 284, will have a fish fry on Saturday, October 11 at 6 p.m.  There is no charge for the event.

Sunday, Oct. 12

    Bro Rick Glidewell, pastor at Hopewell Baptist Church invites you to attend the “Autumn Revival” on October 12 – 14 at 7 p.m. (Sunday evening thru Wednesday evening).  Bro Ken Izzard  will bring the revival  message each evening,  Bro Rick Glidewell will be music director and Emma Hovey, the pianist  at Hopewell, will also serve as pianist during revival.

    Woodland Hills Baptist Church will have its high attendance day for Sunday School on October 12. Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m.

    Immediately following the meal there will be an old-time county fair featuring face painting, horseshoes, checkers, a three-leg race, cake walk, egg race, horse back riding, water balloon toss, moon walk, and more. During the afternoon popcorn and cotton candy may be enjoyed.

    Springhill North M.B. Church will be celebrating its annual Women’s Day Program on Sunday, October 12, beginning at 3 p.m. The guest speaker for the 11 a.m. service will be Minister Jesse Coffey of Bruce, and the afternoon guest speaker will be Minister Fannie Blake-Brown, Associate Minister of Spirit of Excellence, of Oxford. She will be accompanied by the church choir.

    “The Spring Hill Church Family cordially invites everyone to come and help lift up the name of Jesus in praise and worship during this special service. Come and be blessed,” said Mattie Campbell and Mary Towns, chairpersons for the program.

    Rocky Mount M.B. Church will have its annual homecoming program Sunday, October 12, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Tommy Daniels of Zion Springs Church in Bruce will be the guest speaker. Lunch will be served immediately after the regular service. “Come out and help us lift the name of Jesus,” invites Rev. George Forrest.

    Everdale Missionary Baptist Church Usher Ministry invites everyone to its Usher Day Program on Sunday, October 12, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Armstrong of Bruce Chapel will be the special guest. All ushers are asked to dress out. Sister Sheila Turner is usher board president. Everdale is located at 410 Calhoun Street in Water Valley.

    Revival services will be held at St. Andrew M.B. Church October 12, 13, and 14. The Sunday evening service will begin at 6 p.m. with Monday and Tuesday services starting at 7 p.m. Minister Antonio Kimble will be the evangelist. “Everyone is cordially invited to attend any or all of these services,” stated Pastor Sidney Townes.

    The annual Lovejoy Church harvest supper will be held Sunday, October 12, beginning at 4 p.m. at the church in Panola County. All attending should bring a covered dish for a picnic on the grounds. Everyone is invited for an afternoon of worship, fellowship, and telling stories about families and old times.

    Reverend Sidney Townes, pastor of New Providence M. B. Church, located at 14129 Pope/Water Valley Road, will be honored by the congregation on October 12 for 16 years of outstanding service to the community as a pastor and leader.

    The day has been designated Pastor Appreciation Sunday. The special Sunday morning service at 11 a.m. will feature a message by Minister Bobby Hall and the focal point of the afternoon service at 3 p.m. will be a message by Reverend Cleveland Alexander. Lunch will be served. All activities are intended for the public.

    Miles Memorial CME Church will have its annual choir day on Sunday, October 12, beginning at 3 p.m.  “We are inviting all choirs, groups, soloists, and praise teams, to be a part of this special occasion, as we lift up the name of Jesus through songs and praise,” stated Sis. Cynthia Shegog, Choir President. Rev. Brian Davis serves as pastor at Miles Memorial Church.

Saturday, Oct. 18

    Pastor Michael Stephen and the Oak Grove C.M.E. Church Family cordially invite you to attend their Men In Praise Program Saturday, October 18, beginning at 5 p.m. Special guest will be Stars of Faith of Holly Springs and the New Cavaliers of Olive Branch, and also a host of Male Choirs. “We are looking forward to seeing you there to help lift up the Lord Jesus in praises,” concluded Pastor Stephen.

Sunday, Oct. 19

    A fall revival will be held at Everdale Missionary Baptist Church beginning Sunday, October 19, and ending Thursday, October 23, at 7 p.m. each night. Rev. Marcus Dudley of Moorse Chapel and his church family will be special guests.

    Sanders Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will have its annual Choir Appreciation Day October 19, beginning at 3 p.m. “We are asking your choir to do an A and B selection,” says Sis. Ann Matthews, Chairperson. “We hope to see you for this joyous occasion,” concluded Pastor Mitchell Steen.

Sunday, Nov. 9

    Anointed Voices of Praise of Everdale MB Church will be sponsoring a praise and worship program Sunday, November 9, beginning at 3 p.m. All praise and worship teams are asked for an A and B selection. “Please come out and make a joyful noise unto the Lord,” invites Rev. Phillip Brackett, pastor.
