    Everdale Missionary Baptist Church’s youth department is sponsoring a Harvest Fest on Friday, October 31, beginning at 6 p.m. and continuing until 10 p.m. There will be a hayride, basketball, marshmallow and hot dog roast, egg race and much more. Everyone is invited to come out and have a good time. Admission is $3. Everdale is located at 410 Calhoun Street, Water Valley.

Saturday, Nov. 1

    Members of Rocky Mountain M.B. Church invite the public to a benefit program on Saturday, November 1, beginning at 6 p.m.for Bro. Charles Brown at the church. “Please come out and help us support this man of God,” invites Minister Jeanice Forrest, Chairperson.     An appreciation service for Elder Leroy and Sis. Debra Harris will be held at the House of Prayer C.O.G.I.C., located on Mill Street in Water Valley Saturday, November 1, beginning at 7 p.m. Pastor Moses Wright will be speaking. Everyone is invited to attend.

Sunday, Nov. 2

    Chapel Hill M.B. Church, located in Water Valley, will sponsor a benefit program for Micheal Booker on Sunday, November 2, beginning at 3 p.m. Micheal travels to dialysis treatments three times a week.

    “We want to encourage and help him and each token given will offset some of his expenses,” stated Pastor Eric Nelson. The guest speaker for this program will be Rev. Jerome Battle from Batesville.

    Brusher Fork M.B. Church will have its Pastor and Wife Appreciation Day on November 2, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Rev. B. B. Brooks, pastor, has been serving this church for 30 years. The church is located on Carpenter Road at Grenada. Pastor George Forest and the Rocky Mount M. B. Church family of Water Valley will be special guests.

    Reverend Doctor Reginald Anthony Haywood, Founder and Pastor of the New Straight Way Baptist Church in Waterloo, Iowa, will speak at Spring Hill North Baptist Church on Sunday, November 2, at the 11:15 morning worship service. He is a native of Water Valley and is looking forward to returning home to deliver God’s message.

    “Please come out and help us welcome this mighty man of God home,” invite members of the Spring Hill Church.

Monday, Nov. 3

    All women, 18 and older, are invited to the women’s ministry of Sanders Chapel, beginning November 3, at 6 p.m. “This will be a soul searching ministry for every woman who wants to become intimate with the Lord,” stated Minister Geraldine Booker. The ministry is designed to help those attending reach personal growth and fulfill a commitment to God and the women in the community. Sponsors of the Ministry are Minister Booker and Sister Lanell Steen.

    The annual appreciation service for Minister Lennell Gayden, Assistant Pastor of Rocky Mountain M. B. Church in Water Valley, will be held Saturday, November 8, beginning at 6 p.m. “Come and help us celebrate this wonderful woman of God,” invites Sis. Mary Nicholson.

    Anointed Voices of Praise of Everdale MB Church will sponsor a praise and worship program Sunday, November 9, beginning at 3 p.m. All praise and worship teams are asked for an A and B selection.  “Please come out and make a joyful noise unto the Lord,” invites Rev. Phillip Brackett, pastor.

    St. Paul U.M. Church, located on M.L.K. and Patton Lane Street, Batesville, will celebrate its 147th year of praise and glorifying God on Sunday, November 9. The special service will begin at 3 in the afternoon. “Please come and praise God with us, and the community,” invites Rev. Kent Brown, pastor. For more information call Bro. Saturday, Nov. 15

    Members of Sanders Chapel Missionary Baptist Church invite the public to attend a banquet for their pastor, Rev. Mitchell Steen, and his wife on November 15, beginning at 6 p.m. The banquet will be held in the Everdale Building on Calhoun Street, Water Valley.
