Sunday, Dec. 7

    The Sanctuary Choir of Water Valley First Baptist Church will present their annual Christmas Cantata, “All Is Calm, All Is Bright,” Sunday night, December 7, beginning at 6 p.m. Under the direction of Erik Fearing of Oxford, the musical program will also feature soloists, and an orchestra. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.


    The adult choir of First Christian Church warmly invites you to share in their presentation of the beautiful Christmas cantata, “One of Us,” this Sunday, December 7 at 6:30 p.m. Come experience the miracle and the mystery of the greatest and most passionate love story ever told – the love of God coming to earth in the person of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.      

    Come hear some traditional Christmas songs and some new praise and worship songs that will touch your heart.  Come experience the life-changing power of the One true God who became One of Us.  The choir is under the direction of Mrs. Marilyn Blankenship and Mrs. Lou Ann Holt is the accompanist.  Mr. Jerry Holt will be our narrator.  A finger food fellowship will follow.  The church is located at the corner of North Main and South Court Streets in Water Valley.  All are welcome to share in this beautiful evening with us.  


    Woodland Hills Baptist Church choir will present its Christmas Cantata, “Bless That Wonderful Name,” Sunday, December 7, as the regular morning worship. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m.

    The choir is under the direction of Linda Williams and at the organ will be Barbara Warren, with Sammie Cobern playing the piano. Narrators will be Rev. Ken Izzard, Travis York, Michael Redwine, and Sammy Anthony. Everyone is cordially invited to attend this special Christmas musical.


    The Union West Baptist Church choir will present its Christmas Cantata, “A Christmas Offering,” on Sunday, December 7, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The choir is under the direction of Bro. Andrew Basinger. The church is located on County Road 313, in Oxford. Rev. Billy Childs serves as pastor. Everyone is invited to attend this special program.

Sunday, Dec. 14

    The youth of Massey Grove M.B. Church will have their Musical Program December 13, beginning at 6 p.m. The church is located at 12 CR 20, in Oakland.

    “Come one, come all and support our youth,” invites Pastor Lloyd V. Anders, pastor, and the church family. Youth Sponsors are Sis. Patricia Suggs and Min. Dollie Genes.

Sunday, Dec. 14

    Oak Grove C.M.E. Church will have its pre-Christmas Program on December 14, beginning at 3 p.m. The speaker for the evening will be Evangelist Pam Pomelee, and she will be accompanied by her church family. The members of Oak Grove cordially invite you to worship with them during this special service.

    “We look forward to seeing you on this day,” states Youth Department Leader, Mrs. Mary Jo Kerr. The program is sponsored by the youth department.
