Wednesday, December 31

    Brusher Fork Church will have a watch night meeting on December 31, beginning at 9 p.m. The speaker will be Rev. J. C. Hentz, pastor of Mt. Grove M.B. Church of Coffeeville. The church is located at 51 Carpenter Road, Grenada. Refreshments will be served before the service. “Everyone is invited to attend this special service,” says Pastor B. B. Brooks.


    Sanders Chapel M.B. Church will have its first watch night service on Dec. 31, beginning at 9 p.m. The church’s pastor, Rev. Mitchell Steen, will bring the message for the night. There will also be a praise and worship service, with some uplifting songs. The church is located at 206 CR 220, Water Valley.


    New Providence M.B. Church will have a watch meeting service on Dec. 31, from 10 -12 p.m. Rev. Greg Henderson, pastor of Pleasant Grove First Baptist Church, Gore Springs, and the church choir will be special guests. “Everyone is invited to come and give a testimony of God’s goodness as we celebrate the ending of 2008,” states Rev. Sidney Townes.


    A New Year’s celebration will be held at Cornerstone Church, located at 606 Wise Street, Water Valley, on New Year’s Eve, between the hours of 10 p.m. and midnight. “You are welcome to bring in the New Year with us at Cornerstone Church,” stated Rev. R. W. Moffet, pastor. This will be a night of singing, tag team preaching, and refreshments. The service will close with communion.

    The New Jerusalem Church family will bring in the New Year with a Watch Night Service, beginning at 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. “We invite everyone to come and be blessed of the Lord. We will be praying and seeking the blessings of the Lord in the coming year,” stated Pastor Loyd Walton. The church is located in Coffeeville.

Wednesday, January 7

    All women, age 18 and up, are invited to come and be a part of Sanders Chapel’s Women Ministry. They will meet January 5, beginning at 6 p.m. Minister Geraldine Booker and Sis. Lanell Steen will be in charge of the program.


    Pastor Loyd Walton and the New Jerusalem Church family invites the public to start the new year with a soul-stirring revival. Whatever the issue, whatever the problem, Jesus is the answer. Revival services are scheduled Wednesday through Friday, January 7-9, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly.  The church is located in Coffeeville.

Sunday, January 11

    Spring Hill North Baptist Church once again will be celebrating their annual Men’s Day Program on January 11—beginning at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Nick Mitchell from the Hurley Chapel Baptist Church, Grenada. “Everyone is invited to attend this special service,” says Bro. Hosea Bradford, Chairperson.
