Childcare Training Classes Offered
The Yalobusha County Extension Service will open its site for the next Childcare Distance Trainings to be held Saturday, Jan. 24, from 8 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Other trainings are scheduled Tuesday, January 27, and Thursday, January 29. from 6:15 – 8:15 pm. All trainings will be held at the Yalobusha County Multipurpose Building. They are free services and provide contact hours for childcare providers. If you are interested in attending or need additional information, please contact the Extension office at (662) 675-2730.
Officer Installation Planned At Conclave
St. Cyr Commandery No. 6 will hold its next stated Conclave on Thursday, January 22, in the Masonic Temple on Champion Circle. Members are asked to please note that this meeting will be an open installation of new officers and will begin with a pot luck supper at 6:30. Members are reminded to bring a dish that will compliment ham, which will be furnished. “Relatives and friends are invited to fellowship with us. Please support your Commandery by making a special effort to attend. We need your help and support during this next year,” states Jim Ward, Commander.
Billy’s Creek Schedules Annual Meeting
Billy’s Creek Rural Water Association will have its annual meeting on February 9, at the Sylva Rena Community Center, beginning at 7 p.m. All members are urged to attend.
Water Valley Football Booster Club Announces Meeting
The Water Valley Blue Devils Football Booster Club will meet Thursday, January 22, beginning at 6 p.m., in the Community Room at Mechanics Bank. Everyone is invited to attend.
Diabetic Wellness Team Holds Meeting
The Water Valley Diabetic Wellness Team will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at noon in the Edgar Community Building in Rolling Hills. The public is invited to attend.
Greenstreet Will Perform At VFW’s Saturday Night Dance
The regular VFW Saturday night dance will feature the Greenstreet Band January 24. Dancing will be from 8 p.m. until 12 Midnight in VFW Post 4100’s Home, located at 11535 Highway 315, west of Water Valley. A concession stand will be available.
VFW Plans Bingo Action
Bingo will be played at VFW Post 4100’s Home Friday, January 23, beginning at 7 p.m. The Post Home is located at 11535 Highway 315, west of Water Valley. To play, you must be at least 18 years old.
