Sunday, February 15
A deacon ordination service for Joseph Turner will be held at Everdale M.B. Church on Sunday, February 15, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Tommie Goodwin, pastor of Bridges Chapel, will be the guest speaker. Rev. Phillip Brackett is pastor, Rev. Kevin Lee, Sr., is assistant pastor, and Sister Sandra Woodard is the church clerk of Everdale.

Sanders Chapel M.B. Church, located at 206 CR 220, Water Valley, will have their Black History Program February 15, beginning at 3 p.m. Spring Hill North Church will be the guest choir. There will also be other entertainment from the community.
“We hope to see you for this wonderful occasion,” stated the Sanders Chapel Church family and pastor Mitchell Steen. The program committee includes Sis. Marsha Richardson and Sis. Ann Matthews.

The members of Oak Grove C.M.E. Church invite you to come and worship with them at their black history program, which will be held February 15, beginning at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be Pastor Willie Hoey of Pleasant Hill C.M.E. Church of Mt. Pleasant. He will be accompanied by his church family.

The pastor and church family of Pine Grove East M.B. Church invites everyone to join them for their annual black history program. The service will be held Sunday, February 15, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The message will be delivered by Pastor Jerome Battle of Batesville. There will be a fellowship lunch following the morning service. “Everyone is invited to come and help us lift up the name of the Lord,” stated Pastor Johnnie Roland.

St. Andrew M.B. Church in Oakland will have its annual black history program Sunday, February 15, following their 11 a.m. service. “Come and let us praise God together,” invites Rev. Sidney Townes, pastor. Refreshments will be served.
Sunday, February 22
The pastor and members of Pine Grove M.B. Church invite you to come and worship with them on February 22, beginning at 2:30 p.m. in their “Great Women of the Bible” Program. “Come and bring a friend and enjoy the program. Hope to see you there,” stated Rev. Cleveland Alexander, pastor.

An old-fashioned day celebration is scheduled at at Shiloh Baptist Church, Big Creek on Sunday, February 22, beginning at 10:30 am. This day will be complete with bonnets and overalls for those who wish to participate.
Dress is optional and you do not have to be a member to attend. The day will begin with old fashion singing the old timey way. Local groups will also be singing ole time favorites, complete with banjo pickin, fiddle playing and good ole fashion preaching will make this day complete. The day’s events also include horse and buggy rides, and old fashion games. A covered dish meal will follow the morning worship service.

Chapel Hill M.B. Church will have a benefit program February 28, beginning at 7 p.m. “The church family would like to invite everyone to attend this benefit,” stated Bro. Claud Freeman, Chairman of Deacons.
