The First United Methodist Church of Water Valley cordially invites each of you to this week’s Lenten Luncheon on Thursday, March 5, at noon. Come visit with old friends, meet new friends. Be enriched by the preaching and singing and nourished by wonderful food! This week we are pleased and blessed to welcome Rev. Harold Sprayberry of Water Valley First Presbyterian Church. Barron Caulfield will bless us in song. We are looking forward to a wonderful time and hope to see you there!
Sunday, March 8
The Bayson Chapel M.B. Church family will have their pastor and wife’s 20th anniversary on March 8. Rev. Amos Sims is pastor of the church.
Morning services will begin at 11 a.m., with Rev. Jerome Battle being the speaker of the hour. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
The evening service will begin at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Jacob Hentz and the Mt. Grove Church family being the special guests of the hour.
“Come and help us celebrate this special event while making a joyful noise unto the Lord,” invites Ora L. Phillips, Program Chairperson, and the church members.
The Everdale Church family invites everyone to celebrate Family and Friends Day on March 8, beginning at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Mitchell Steen, pastor of Sanders Chapel and Pleasant Grove Churches. He will be accompanied by his choir. Lunch will be served after the morning service. Sister Ruth Brackett is chairperson of the event and Rev. Phillip Brackett serves as pastor of the church.
March 15, 16 and 17
Pine Grove West Church will hold its spring revival March 15, 16 and 17, starting each night at 7 p.m. Mt. Zion Pastor Wright will be the speaker for all three services. “The Pine Grove West family would like to invite you and your family to attend these services,” states Pastor Cleveland Alexander and Bro. Ranzy Tenner, Trustee.
March 22
The Oak Grove C.M.E. Church family extends an invitation to family and friends to celebrate Family and Friends Day on March 22, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Richard Brown of New Hope M.B. Church of Batesville and his church family will bring the evening message and inspirational music for the afternoon. Lunch will be served.
