March 12
The First United Methodist Church of Water Valley invites the public to attend this week’s Lenten Luncheon on Thursday, March 12, at noon. Come visit with old friends, meet new friends, and be enriched by the preaching and singing and nourished by wonderful food! This week we are pleased and blessed to welcome back Rev. Raymond Aven as our preacher. Our own Brad Sartor will play and sing for us.
March 14
The First Christian Church’s Relay for Life team, the Christian Crusaders, will sponsor an inside yard sale on Saturday, March 14, from 8 a.m. until ? in the activities building. All proceeds raised will go to the American Cancer Society. “Please come out, shop, and help fight cancer,” invite the Crusaders.
March 15
The Mt. Moriah District Federation meeting will be held in the Mt. Grove M.B. Church, located on Highway 7 South, Coffeeville, on the third Sunday, March 15, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Leo Coffey will bring the message.
March 15, 16 and 17
Pine Grove West Church will hold its spring revival March 15, 16 and 17, starting each night at 7 p.m. Mt. Zion Pastor Wright will be the speaker for all three services.
March 18, 19 and 20
Chapel Hill M.B. Church will hold a three night spring revival March 18, 19, and 20. Services will begin each night at 7 p.m. The guest speaker on Wednesday night will be Rev. Brian Davis from Oxford. The Thursday night speaker will be Rev. Jerome Battle from Batesville and speaking Friday night will be Rev. Cleveland Alexander from Water Valley. “Everyone is invited to come out and worship with us during these revival services. We look forward to fellowship with you,” states Deacon Claude Freeman.
March 21
The Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church family cordially invites you to come and witness the “Unveiling of the Chair” and the “Installation of our Pastor.” These events are scheduled at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 21. Our Moderator, Pastor Amos Sims, will do the honors on that day. The church is located at 985 CR 169, Coffeeville.

A Memphis southern gospel group will present a concert in Bethel Baptist Church Saturday, March 21, beginning at 6 p.m. Admission is free, but a love offering will be received. The church is located on County Road 220. A finger food fellowship will follow the musical program.
March 22
The Oak Grove C.M.E. Church family extends an invitation to celebrate Family and Friends Day on March 22, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Richard Brown of New Hope M.B. Church of Batesville and his church family will bring the evening message and inspirational music for the afternoon. Lunch will be served.

The Miles Memorial Church family invites everyone to their Pastor’s Aide Program on Sunday, March 22, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Greg Henderson, pastor of Pleasant Grove of Gore Springs will be the guest speaker. The Gifted Men will be special guests. Sis. Cynthia Shegog serves as chairperson of the program and Rev. Brian Davis is pastor of Miles Memorial C.M.E. Church.
March 22 – 25
New Life Fellowship will hold its spring revival March 22-25. Sunday services will begin at 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Nightly services from Monday through Wednesday begin at 7 p.m.
Dr. Jimmy Pinkerton, pastor of Harmontown Baptist Church, will be the speaker. New Life Fellowship is located one and one-half miles east of I-55 on Highway 32, near Oakland.
March 29 – April 2
Everdale Missionary Baptist Church, located at 410 Calhoun Street, Water Valley, will have their spring revival Sunday, March 29, through Thursday, April 2. Services will begin at 7 p.m. each night. Minister Terrance Pryor will be the guest evangelist.
April 11
A community-wide Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, Big Creek, on Saturday, April 11, beginning at 2 p.m. This is open to all children and what a day it will be to enjoy. There will be 5,000 eggs to be found and most will be filled with prizes. Extreme jumpers, water slides, popcorn, cotton candy, hot dogs, and more will be included in the day’s events.
