The First United Methodist Church of Water Valley cordially invites each of you to attend this week’s Lenten Luncheon on Thursday, March 19, at noon. “We are pleased to present Bro. David Freeman of Water Valley First Christian Church, who will be bringing the message; and the singer will be our own, Mim Carpenter. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there!,” states Charlotte Hille, publicity chairperson.
March 21
Spring Hill North Baptist Church will host a women’s’ conference on Saturday, March 21, at noon. All ladies are invited to attend. This event is sponsored by the women’s department, with Minister Terri Barnes as chairperson.

The First Christian Church’s Relay for Life team, Christian Crusaders, will sponsor another inside yard sale on Saturday, March 21, from 8 a.m.-until ? in the activities building. There will be many new items for sale this week, in addition to some merchandise left from last week’s sale.
All proceeds raised will go to the American Cancer Society. “Please come out, shop, and help fight cancer,” invite the Crusaders.
March 22
The Oak Grove C.M.E. Church family extends an invitation to celebrate family and friend’s day on March 22, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Richard Brown of New Hope M.B. Church of Batesville and his church family will bring the evening message and inspirational music for the afternoon. Lunch will be served.

The Miles Memorial Church family invites everyone to their Pastor’s Aide Program on Sunday, March 22, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Greg Henderson, pastor of Pleasant Grove of Gore Springs, will be the guest speaker. The Gifted Men will be special guests. Sis. Cynthia Shegog serves as chairperson of the program and Rev. Brian Davis is pastor of Miles Memorial C.M.E. Church.
Everdale Missionary Baptist Church’s youth department will have a youth fellowship program on Sunday, March 22, beginning at 3 p.m. Bro. D. A. Hervey will be the guest speaker. “Please come out and help us ‘Stop whining and complaining and start believing and receiving…’,” stated Rev. Phillip Brackett, pastor.
March 23
Sanders Chapel invites all women, 18 and older, to attend their women’s ministry beginning March 23, at 6 p.m. This will be a soul-searching ministry for every woman who wants to become intimate with the Lord. This is designed to help you reach personal growth and fulfill a commitment to God and the women in our community. Sponsors of the program are Minister Geraldine Booker and Sister Lanell Steen.
March 22 – 25
New Life Fellowship will hold its spring revival March 22-25. Sunday services will begin at 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Nightly services from Monday through Wednesday begin at 7 p.m. Dr. Jimmy Pinkerton, pastor of Harmontown Baptist Church, will be the speaker. New Life Fellowship is located one and one-half miles east of I-55 on Highway 32, near Oakland.
March 29 – April 1
Revival services at Hopewell Baptist Church will be held March 29 -April 1, beginning at 7 p.m. each night. Bro. Rickey Harris will bring the messages each evening. Pastor Rick Glidewell will lead the singing and Emma Hovey will be the pianist. “Everyone is invited to come join us in revival,” stated Rev. Glidewell.
March 29 – April 2
Everdale Missionary Baptist Church, located at 410 Calhoun Street, Water Valley, will have its spring revival Sunday, March 29, through Thursday, April 2. Services will begin at 7 p.m. each night. Minister Terrance Pryor will be the guest evangelist.
April 5
Massey Grove Missionary Baptist Church, located at 42 County Road 20, Oakland, cordially invites everyone to their Men’s Day Program on Sunday, April 5, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Willie J. Forrest from Coldwater, along with Springhill Pope Missionary Baptist Church, will be special guests for the afternoon. “Please come out and help us lift up the name of Jesus Christ,” invites Pastor Lloyd V. Anderson.
April 11
A community-wide Easter Egg Hunt will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, Big Creek, on Saturday, April 11, beginning at 2 p.m. This is open to all children and what a day it will be to enjoy. There will be 5,000 eggs to be found and most will be filled with prizes. Extreme jumpers, water slides, popcorn, cotton candy, and more will be included in the day’s events.
