The First United Methodist Church of Water Valley warmly invites each of you to attend this week’s Lenten Luncheon on Thursday, March 26, at noon. Organizers are happy to present former pastor, Rev. Billy Ray Stonestreet, who will bring the message. Water Valley’s own, Shirley Berry, will minister to us in song! We are looking forward to seeing each of you there.
Saturday, March 28
Banner Baptist Church will host a gospel singing featuring the Davis Brothers of West Point (also known as the Davis Family) on Saturday, March 28, beginning at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the singing. Everyone is invited to attend.
Sunday, March 29
New Freedom Family Ministries, located at 809 College Hill Road in Oxford, will celebrate its fourth church anniversary on Sunday, March 29. The program kicks off at 2 p.m. in Paris Yates Chapel on the University of Mississippi Campus.
Pastor Jerline Williams of the Renewing of the Mind Church in Memphis, will deliver the keynote address. The New Freedom Sanctuary Choir, along with Dolores and Gloria, will sing, and the youth ministry will render praise dances. March 29 – April 1
Revival services at Hopewell Baptist Church will be held March 29 -April 1, beginning at 7 p.m. each night. Bro. Rickey Harris will bring the messages each evening. Pastor Rick Glidewell will lead the singing and Emma Hovey will be the pianist. “Everyone is invited to come join us in revival,” stated Rev. Glidewell.

Revival services will be held Sunday, March 29, through Wednesday, April 1, at Camp Ground Baptist Church. Sunday service times begin with Sunday School at 10 a.m., worship service at 11 a.m., and a fellowship meal following. The evening service starts at 6 p.m. Services on Monday-Wednesday will begin at 7 p.m. each night. Bro. Jeff Harmon of New Liberty Baptist Church in Calhoun County will bring the messages.

Gatewood Church of God, located on County Road 211 in Coffeeville, will have revival services Sunday, March 29, through Wednesday, April 1, beginning at 6 p.m. each night. Rev. Everdale Missionary Baptist Church, located at 410 Calhoun Street, Water Valley, will have its spring revival Sunday, March 29, through Thursday, April 2. Services will begin at 7 p.m. each night. Minister Terrance Pryor will be the guest evangelist.
Sunday, April 5
Massey Grove Missionary Baptist Church, located at 42 County Road 20 in Oakland, cordially invites everyone to their Men’s Day Program on Sunday, April 5, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Willie J. Forrest from Coldwater, along with Springhill Pope Missionary Baptist Church, will be special guests for the afternoon. “Please come out and help us lift up the name of Jesus Christ,” invites Pastor Lloyd V. Anderson.
Saturday, April 11
A community-wide Easter egg hunt will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, Big Creek, on Saturday, April 11, beginning at 2 p.m. This is open to all children and what a day it will be to enjoy. There will be 5,000 eggs hidden and most will be filled with prizes. Extreme jumpers, water slides, popcorn, cotton candy, and more will be included in the day’s events.
