Friday, April 10

    Parrish Grove M.B. Church in Oakland will have a Good Friday service at noon. Seven ministers will speak on the seven cries from Calvary. Lunch will be served. “Everyone is invited to worship at this service,” stated Rev. Grady McKinney, Jr., pastor, and Sis. Linda Clark, secretary.

Sunday, April 12

 The Pine Grove West Church family in Scobey invites everyone to attend their Pastor and Wife Appreciation Program April 12. Honored will be Rev. and Mrs. Cleveland Alexander. Minister Tyrone Jenkins from Batesville will bring the message at the 11 a.m. morning service. The speaker for the evening service, starting at 2:30  p.m., will be Minister Garrison from Holly Springs, who is associate pastor of the Pine Grove East Church.

  Pastor Lawrence M. Mathews and the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church family invite the public to worship with them on Saturday, April 11, beginning at 6 p.m., in celebrating their Musician’s Day. All choirs are asked to give an A and B selection. Soloist and praise teams are also welcome. The church is located at 985 CR 169, Coffeeville.

  On Sunday, April 12, Hopewell M.B. Church will celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Everyone  is invited to attend this service, beginning at 8:45 a.m., which is the regular worship service time.

April 12 – 14

    Sanders Chapel M.B. Church will have spring revival services on April 12-14. Service will begin at 5 p.m. on April 12, and at 7 p.m. on April 13 and 14. The speaker for these services will be Minister T.K. Townsend of Bayson Chapel.

April 12 – 15

  Community Full Gospel will have revival services Sunday, April 12, through Wednesday, April 15, with Lewis Maples. The Sunday service will begin at 5 p.m. and weeknight services start at 7 p.m. The church is located on Highway 32 East, Charleston. For more information contact Pastor Newcomb at (662) 647-5971.

 Saturday, April 18

  Shiloh Baptist Church at Big Creek will celebrate music from the past and present. Rock of Ages 2009 will be  a Tribute Weekend and Community Hoedown, taking place on Saturday, April 18, beginning at 3:30 p.m.

    Country legends, bluegrass, and southern gospel will be the highlight of entertainment. This will be an outdoor event, food will be available and admission is free. For directions call (662) 628-5949.

    Goshen Memorial Chapel will host a sunrise service Easter Sunday, April 12, beginning at 7 a.m., with Rev. Michael Haas and Rev. Keith Burney officiating. The service will be followed by a fellowship brunch, hosted by Goshen members.

Sunday, April 19

  Chapel Hill Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1140 CR 118, Water Valley, will have its Youth Day Program Sunday, April 19, beginning at 3 p.m. Guest speaker for the evening service will be 12-year-old Minister T. K. Townsend of Water Valley. Also Gift’d Men from Batesville will be special guests. “All area and local youth, young and old, are invited to come together and help us celebrate this wonderful occasion,” stated Deacon Freeman.

Saturday, April 25

    Bethel Baptist Church will host a mission conference on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. until noon. Christian speaker and humorist, Sherry Hagerhjelm from Bossier City, Louisiana, will be the guest speaker. “Come, hear her humorous stories, tearful life lessons, marriage to motherhood, and becoming a Proverbs 31 woman,” invites Rev. James Edwards, pastor.

Sunday, April 26

    Spring Hill North M.B. Church, located at 600 Railroad Street in Water Valley, will have its Musicians Appreciation Day Sunday, April 26, beginning at 6 p.m. Church musicians are Bro. Regis Mister and Bro. Aspen Cannon. Musician Department chairpersons are Janet Woodard and Tammy Turner who extend a cordial invitation for everyone to attend this program.
