Rebels Headed To World Series

    The North Mississippi Rebels 10 and Under team won the FNC Park Summertime Showdown Championship game June 7 in Oxford.  The   team  went 5-0 in the tournament and is one of the top ranked AAA teams in the state.  

    The team is set to play in the World Series in Gulf Shores, Ala., in July. Teammates with Water Valley connections includes Cooper Cox, who pitches for the team, and Carson Sharp, who is the catcher. Both had outstanding performances in the tournament and helped to boost  their team to the championship. Cooper is the son of Joe and Angie Cox of Ripley and the grandson of Bobby Joe and Dee Cox of  Water Valley.  

    Carson is the son of Jason and Jill Sharp and the grandson of Fay Ross and Charles and Janice Sharp, all of Water Valley.
