Wednesday, July 8

    Revival services will be held at Springhill North M.B. Church starting on Wednesday, July 8, and continuing through July 10, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Bruce Paige of Springhill North M.B. Church will be the evangelist for the week.         “Everyone is invited to come and help us lift up the name of Jesus,” stated Rev. Paige, pastor, and the Springhill North Church family.

Sunday, July 12

    Friendship Baptist Church will host a puppet show on July 12, beginning at 5 p.m. Mount Comfort Baptist Drama Team from Bruce will present this program. “This is something you don’t want to miss. Everyone is welcome,” stated Friendship pastor, Bro. Bill Forsyth. A love offering will be taken. “This will be a blessing to all ages,” concluded Bro. Forsyth.

    The members of Oak Grove C.M.E. Church cordially invite you to their Pastor and Wife Love Day Program on July 12, beginning at 3:30 p.m. The speaker for the evening will be Elder Terry Smith from the Ripley church, House of Prayer. Rev. Michael Stephen serves as pastor of the church at Oak Grove.

    Faith Chapel will host a singing Sunday evening, July 12, beginning at 6 p.m. Heaven’s Highway will perform. Everyone is invited to attend and a love offering will be taken. The church is located at the Lafayette/Calhoun County Lines on Highway 9 West.

    Bethel Baptist Church will hold revival services beginning Sunday, July 12, at 11 a.m. The service Sunday evening will begin at 6 p.m. and services Monday through Wednesday will begin at 7 p.m.

  Bro. Ken Boyette, evangelist, will be the guest speaker. Dr. Casey Gerber will lead in praise and worship. There will be a pot luck dinner following the Sunday morning service.

 New Birth Ministries has scheduled a Family and Friends Day Sunday, July 12, beginning at 3 p.m. “Everyone is invited to attend,” states pastor Leroy Harris.

July 13 – 17

    Pleasant Green Baptist Church of Water Valley will have their annual revival services, starting on Monday night, July 13. Services will continue through July 17, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly.

    Vacation Bible School will be held at Woodland Hills Baptist Church Monday, July 13 through Friday, July 17, from 6-8:30 p.m. each night. Classes are offered for pre-k through eighth grade. For more information call Betty Shearer at 473-1473 or 473-1616.

July 17 -19

    First United Pentecostal Church has scheduled a revival with Bro. Daniel “Slick” Ballinger starting Friday, July 17 and continuing through Sunday, July 19. Slick will perform at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday.

July 17 -19

 Green Goshen C.M.E. Church will host a youth day program on July 19, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The speaker for the day will be Minister T. K. Townsend of Bayson Chapel. Pastor Cherodrick Jeffries and the Green Goshen Church family invite everyone to attend this service. Lunch will be served.

July 19 -23

    Revival services will be held at New Providence M.B. Church from Sunday-Thursday, July 19-23, beginning at 7 p.m. each night. The guest speaker for this event will be Rev. Mitchell Steen, pastor of Sanders Chapel M.B. Church in Water Valley and Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in Coffeeville.

Saturday, July 25

    Union Hill C.M.E. Church will honor its pastor, Dr. James W. Johnson, on July 25, at 6 p.m. Reverend Mike Gordon of Memphis will be the guest speaker for this occasion. On Sunday, July 26, beginning at 3 p.m., Reverend Adam Tyson will be the guest speaker. He will be accompanied by his church family. Favored of Oxford will be the guest choir. Doris Holmes is chairperson of the program.

     Martin Street Church of Christ in Water Valley will have a one-day vacation Bible school on Saturday, July 25, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The following Sunday, July 26, the church will begin a gospel meeting, with Bro. Brian Ayers of Memphis doing the preaching.

    There will be dinner at the church at 1:30 p.m. and the gospel meeting will begin that afternoon at 3 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, services will begin at 7:30 each night. Everyone is welcome to come hear this young evangelist preach God’s word, neither adding or taking away from what the Bible says. “We hope to see you Sunday and then the following Monday-Wednesday,” states Ruth CF Goodman.
