Tori Beth Jenkins and her cheer squad the DeSoto Starz won the UCA National All-Star Cheerleading Championship at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL on March 15th.  The Senior Open Level 2 squad competed against UCA Regional Champions from California, Texas, Missouri, Minnesota, Illinois, and Pennsylvania in the two day competition held at the Wide World of Sports venue.

The Starz led after the first day with a near perfect routine and on the second day the routine was flawless and the Starz were able to extend their lead and claim the coveted Universal Cheerleading Association National Champion’s black jackets.  Also, UCA selected the Starz to represent UCA at the International Competition and awarded them with a paid bid.

The Starz competed in the Atlanta, GA Regional of the International All Levels Championship.  The competition was very tough with all the squads being elite teams.  However, the Starz had a great routine and won the International All Levels Regional Championship.  The squad was then able to do something that very few teams do.  They won the International All Levels Championship and became the World Champions.
