Carson Sharp protects the plate and tags the tying runner out at home plate to win the game during the USSA World Series in Gulf Shores, Ala. A total of 94 teams from across the southeast competed from July 8-12. His team, the North Mississippi Rebels, placed 7th overall duirng the competition. They faced teams from Florida, Alabama, Louisiana and Georgia. During the regular season, the AAA ranked Rebels won three first place titles, four second place titles, and four third place titles. Carson is the son of Jason and Jill Sharp and grandson of Fay Ross, the late Harry Ross, and Charles and Janice Sharp, all of Water Valley.
