Friday, July 31

    Carnation Baptist Church, located in Okolona, will have a gospel concert Friday, July 31, beginning at 7 p.m. Featured will be the Masters Quartet of Booneville, and Paul’s Journey (formerly the Relations Quartet) of Houston, Texas. The public is invited. Truman Carter serves as pastor at the church.

    A fish fry will be held Friday, July 31, at the Everdale C.L.C. Building, located at 410 Calhoun Street. This event will help raise money for disaster relief. The church also schedules a recovery meeting every Thursday, beginning at 6 p.m., in the Everdale C.L.C. Building, located at 410 Calhoun Street.

Saturday, August 1

    A singing and spaghetti benefit will be held at Wray’s Chapel Church of God Saturday, August 1. Serving will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the singing will start at 7 p.m.. Plates cost $5 and include spaghetti, cole slaw, green beans, bread and dessert. Tea is included on the dine-in plates. This is a fundraiser to offset restroom remodeling expenses at the church and also to add a storage facility.  Singing will be provided by the Hill family and a love offering will be taken. Sunday, August 2

    The First Assembly of God Church, located at 305 North Court Street, will host a singing Sunday, August 2, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Darrell and Tojuana from Three Rivers will be “Singing Southern Gospel for Jesus.” Pastor Carl McClain and the congregation invite everyone to attend.

August 3 – 5

    Parrish Grove Church will conduct their annual revival services August 3-5, beginning at 7 nightly. The guest speaker will be Rev. Eddie Goliday of Clear Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Oxford. “Everyone is invited to attend these services,” stated Rev. Grady McKinney, Jr., pastor.

August 9 – 13

    Revival services will be held at Clear Springs Baptist Church August 9-13. Rev. Freeman Scarbrough will bring the messages and Wanda Lee and James Caulder will be in charge of the music. Sunday services will begin at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. and services Monday through Wednesday will begin at 7:30 p.m. “Come and receive a blessing,” stated Pastor James E. Barlow.
