    The Mt. Moriah District Association will hold its regular quarterly Congress Session on Saturday and Sunday, August 29-30. A diabetes health fair will be held on Saturday afternoon beginning at noon and continuing until 2 p.m..

    On Saturday, group study sessions will be held for everyone (all ages) in various categories followed by a Discussion period led by the Youth. Pastor Tony Armstrong will deliver the message on Saturday morning.

    Immediately following Saturday’s Congress session, everyone is invited to the J. C. Hentz Fellowship Hall for refreshments provided by Gathright-Reed Diabetic Supply, Inc.

    Scheduled participants are:

    • Sta-Home Health – Grenada, Mississippi

 Sunday’s program includes a District-wide Sunday school followed by the morning message to be given by Pastor Keith Howard, of Bethlehem M. B. Church in Coffeeville.

    Sunday afternoon’s session will begin with a discussion period led by the youth. Pastor Barney Martin of United M. B. Church, of Coffeeville, will deliver the afternoon message.

    The public is invited to attend the worship sessions and encouraged to attend the diabetes health fair on Saturday.

    Spring Hill North M.B. Church’s youth department and mass choir will have a car wash and yard sale Saturday, August 29, from 7 a.m. until noon at the church parking lot. There will be a variety of item priced to sale. Cars will be washed for $5 each, with vans, trucks and SUVs at $10 each.

Sunday, August 30

    During the fifth Sunday singing, Taylor Baptist Church will feature The Blackjack Connection, on August 30, beginning at 6 p.m. The singing will be followed by a community pot luck dinner. A love offering will be collected, with all proceeds to go to the Broyles family, to help with their financial needs following a long fight with cancer. The church is located at 732 County Road 303, in Taylor. “Everyone is invited to attend,” stated Rev. Kerby Ladner, pastor.

    The singing group, “Shiloh” will perform at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church on Sunday, August 30, beginning at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend for a great evening of worship in song.

Sunday, August 30

Woodland Hills Baptist Church will celebrate its ninth anniversary on September 7. Due to the Labor Day weekend holiday, the anniversary will be observed on Sunday night, August 30.

    Following the regular fifth Sunday night hymn sing, a home-made ice cream and cake birthday party will be held in the fellowship hall. All members, former pastors  and guests are invited to attend. Discipleship training begins at 5:30 p.m., with worship service following at 6:15.

September 13 – 17

    Sanders Chapel M.B. Church will have its annual fall revival services beginning Sunday, September 13, and continuing through Thursday, September 17. Services will begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday night, and 7 p.m. nightly Monday through Thursday. Pastor Mitchell Steen, who will be bringing the messages during these services, will speak on “repentance.”

    “Please come out and help us praise the Lord,” invites Rev. Steen and the Sanders Chapel Church family.
