• NOTABLES: The Devils are coming off their second straight losing season, the first time WV has had back to back losing campaign’s since 1984-85. This year MHSAA has expanded it’s classifications from five to six. WV moves back to Class 3A and will share a division with Nettleton, South Pontotoc, Winona, Mooreville, and Aberdeen.  The Pirates are coming into the game with a upset win over Calhoun City. Coffeeville’s last victory  over the Devils came back in 1999 with a 22-15 win. The Blue Devils are 15-5 in season openers since 1989 and 38-26-1 overall.
