• LAST MEETING:  2006  Calhoun City won 16-7

• LAST WEEK: WV lost to Coffeeville 34-25, Calhoun City beat Houston 21-15

• TEAM COMPARISONS: WV averages 25.0 on offense, and gives up 34.0 on defense. Calhoun City averages 24.0 on offenses and gives up 23.5 on defense.

• NOTABLES: Coffeeville’s 34-25 win over the Devils was the  first since 1999. The 34 points scored against WV was the second most points scored by a Pirate team in the series. This was the first season opener lost for the Devils since a 28-27 lost to Itawamba AHS in 2003. Calhoun City & Water Valley are former members of  the Tri-Lake Conference. The Wildcats have won the last three games in the series.  Calhoun City is now coached by former Coffeeville head coach Perry Lyles.
