Sunday, October 11
Gatewood Church of God will have its Pastor Appreciation Day, honoring Rev. Fred Moorman, pastor, on his 11th anniversary Sunday, October 11. The Morning worship service will begin at 11 a.m. During this service Rev. Moorman will speak about his years of ministry at this church. Lunch will be served in the Fellowship Hall after this service.
The church is located at 2168 CR 211, Coffeeville.
“Please come fellowship, pray, sing, and worship God with us. Everyone is welcome,” stated Margarette Morgan.

Spring Hill North Baptist Church will have its Annual Women’s Day Program on Sunday, October 11, beginning at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Minister Patricia Lewis of Memphis. “Everyone is invited to attend,” invites Mary Townes, chairperson. Rev. Bruce Paige serves pastor of the church.

Homecoming will be held at Palestine Church Sunday, October 11. The morning service will begin at 10:45 a.m. and a guest speaker will bring the message.
Lunch will be served at 12:30, and the afternoon singing will begin at 1:30 p.m. “There’s always a good time to be had with dinner on the ground, old fashioned preaching and singing at the ‘Old Country Church’ located about three miles north east of Water Valley on Old Oxford Road,” stated Charlie Shuffield.
Those attending are asked to bring a potluck lunch. You are also asked that if you have old photos of other meetings we might scan and use in a memorial, a newsletter, or a scrapbook, to please bring them. Come celebrate 15 years of ministry and service with Pastor and Mrs. John Keeler on October 11, beginning at 2:30 p.m., at Oak Hill M.B. Church. Pastor Willie Love of Brick Academy and Mt. Zion Hardy will be the speaker for this event. Everyone is invited to come, be blessed, and be a blessing.

The annual Lovejoy Church harvest supper will be held Sunday, October 11, at 4 p.m. at the church in Panola County. All attending should bring a covered dish for a picnic on the grounds. Everyone is invited to attend for an afternoon of worship, fellowship, and reminiscing.

Miles Memorial C.M.E. Church will have its annual choir day Sunday, October 11, beginning at 3 p.m. Choirs attending are asked for an A and B selection. Cynthia Shegog serves as choir president. The church is located at 207 Simmons Street, Water Valley.

New Providence M.B. Church family will have a Pastor’s Appreciation Program, honoring Rev. Sidney Townes for 17 years of Christian service on Sunday, October 11. The 11 a.m. speaker will be Rev. Larry W. Ware and the 3 p.m. speaker will be Rev. Barney Martin, pastor of Unites M.B. Church, Water Valley. A fellowship reception will be held immediately following the 11 a.m. service. Everyone is invited to attend this joyous occasion.
Woodland Hills Baptist Church will have its second annual Rodeo Roundup. This is Round-Up for Sunday School, which is high attendance day. The event will be Sunday, October 11, with Sunday School beginning at 9:30 a.m. and morning worship at 10:30. The round-up will be from noon until 2 p.m.
Following the worship service a hot dog lunch will be served. Afternoon activities will include: face painting; checkers; egg race; cotton candy; horseback riding; bobbing for apples; horse shoes; cake walk; moon walk; pop corn; fishing pond; three legged race; and boot (clothespin) drop.
Everyone is invited to attend this day of fun, food and fellowship, but Sunday School attendance is required for admission.

October 12 – 14
Miles Memorial C.M.E. Church, located at 207 Simmons Street, Water Valley, will have its fall revival Monday – Wednesday, October 12-14, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. The evangelist for these services will be Rev. Linda Walker, pastor of Jehovah Jireh C.M.E. Church in Okolona. “Come and be revived with the Word of God from this mighty woman of God,” invites Rev. Brian Davis, Sr., pastor.
Saturday, October 17
Springdale Family Worship Center is hosting a silent auction and bake sale October 17, from 9 a.m. until noon. There will be a variety of items to bid. The church is located on Highway 7 North, towards Oxford. The highest bidders will be announced at 12:15 p.m.
Sunday, October 18
Sanders Chapel M.B. Church will have its annual Choir Day Program Sunday, October 18, beginning at 3 p.m. Choirs attending are asked for an A & B Selection. “Please come out and help us lift up the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ through songs and praises,” invite Sis. Ann Matthews, sponsor, and Minister Mitchell Steen, pastor.

Goshen Church will host their Fall Homecoming Service October 18, beginning at 11 a.m. This will be followed by a potluck lunch on the grounds. Services will be conducted by Bro. Wayne Shuffield.
Special music will be provided by the “Cannan Landers”, with other guest singers invited. Everyone is invited to come and worship with the church family throughout the day. All supporters of Goshen Cemetery are urged to attend.
Goshen is located six miles west of Coffeeville on County Road 211, one-quarter mile north of County Road 226. Watch for signs.
October 19 – 23
The Chapel Hill Church family invites everyone to come and worship with them in their annual Fall Revival Services October 19-23. Services will begin at 7 p.m. each night. The speaker for these services will be Rev. Jerome Battle from Batesville. “We look forward to fellowshipping with you,” stated Deacon Freeman.
