April 28 – 30

    Carr’s Chapel Church, Oakland, will have their spring revival April 28-30, beginning at 7:30 p.m. each night. “We are asking you to come out and help us lift up the name of Jesus,” says Rev. Rafaele Robinson, pastor.

Thursday, April 29

    The Yalobusha Baptist Association will be hosting the county-wide evangelistic revival on Thursday, April 29, beginning at 7 p.m., in Camp Ground Baptist Church. Rev. Bert Harper, pastor of West Jackson Street Baptist Church, Tupelo, will be the guest evangelist. An invitation is extended to everyone to attend.

Friday, April 30

 Spring Hill North M.B.

Church will serve chitterling plates Friday, April 30, and Saturday, May 1, from 10 a.m. until. Plates will be $7 each and include chitterlings and all the trimmings. This project is sponsored by the Pastor Aid Committee.

  This group is also planning a car wash and yard sale.

 The Everdale Baptist Church homecoming committee is sponsoring a Christian tea on April 30, from 6-8 p.m. in the CLC Building in Water Valley. Tickets are being sold by the committee members for $5 each. Everyone is invited to come out for an evening of great food and entertainment.

Sunday, May 2

    Everdale Missionary Baptist Church will have its church anniversary program Sunday, May 2, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Bruce Paige, pastor of Spring Hill North M.B. Church and his church family will be special guests. “Everyone is invited to attend this special service,” says Rev. Phillip Brackett, pastor. The church is located at 410 Calhoun Street.

    St. Andrew M. B. Church in Oakland will have its pre-Mother’s Day Program May 2, during their regular 11 a.m. worship service. The speaker will be Minister Ruby Towns.

    “Come and join us for this great occasion,” invites Rev. Sidney Townes, pastor.

  Pastor Lawrence M. Matthews and the Hopewell M.B. Church family are looking forward to worshipping with you as they celebrate their pastor’s and wife’s first Love Day. The celebration is scheduled for May 2. There will be services all day, beginning with Sunday school at 10 a.m., followed by morning worship at 11. The times have been changed for this day only. Minister Ralph Horton, pastor  of United Baptist Church in Coffeeville, will bring the message.

  Lunch will be served with the Love Day Celebration continuing at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Amos Sims, moderator of Mt. Moriah District and pastor of Bayson Chapel M. B. Church is the guest speaker.  

Sunday, May 9

  Sanders Chapel will have its Women’s Day Program during the month of May. May 9 will be their Mother’s Day Program. Minister Geraldine Booker will be the speaker. These programs will be held during the morning service, which begins at 8:35 a.m.     “Please come out and worship with us,” invites Pastor Mitchell Steen and Sis. Dora Black, sponsor.

Tuesday, May 11

 Bluegrass entertainment will be provided by the Good Time Express Band from Grenada on Tuesday, May 11, beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the Shiloh Baptist Church, in Big Creek. This will be a covered dish meal event and open to all churches and communities. Please make plans to attend and for more information call 628-5949.

Sunday, May 30

 Everdale M.B. Church’s youth ministry will have a youth choir day program Sunday, May 30, beginning at 3 p.m. The original date set for this event was May 23. All youth choir ministries are asked for an A and B selection.     

    “If your church does not have a youth choir, please come out and support all our local youth.”says Pastor Phillip Brackett.
