June 1-5

    Adonai Church invites all pre-school through sixth grade students to vacation Bible school scheduled June 1-5, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The theme of VBS this year is “Saddle Ridge Ranch.”

June 3 – 7

    Hopewell Baptist Church will have vacation Bible school June 3, 4, 6 and 7, using the Saddleridge Ranch Program. Classes start at 4:45 and close at 6:45 p.m. each day. Commencement will be on June 8. beginning at 5 p.m. If you need more information, call 473-4916.

Saturday, June 5

The Missionary Society of Everdale M.B. Church will sponsor a car wash and barbecue at Brown’s Used Car lot on Saturday, June 5, in Water Valley, Mississippi. It will begin at 8:30 a.m. The cost for cars is $5, while vans and trucks will cost $10.

The car lot is located on South Main street, across from Larson’s Piggly Wiggly.

Sunday, June 6

    The Blake Walker Band will be in concert at Adonai Church during their worship service June 6, beginning at 10:45 a.m. “Everyone is invited to attend this special service,” invites Pastor Roger Howell

June 7 -11

    The first community vacation Bible school will convene June 7-11, beginning a 6:30 p.m. nightly at Bethlehem M.B. Church.

    “We have invited the pastors and members of Hopewell, Mt. Grove, Pleasant Grove and Spring Hill South Missionary Baptist Churches to join with us in hosting a community vacation Bible school,” reported Pastor Larry W. Ware.

Sunday, June 13

The pastor and members of the Union Grove Baptist Church, located in Paynes, cordially invite the public to come and share in their annual Youth Day celebration. The service will be held on Sunday, June 13, starting at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be Minister Derrick Johnson of Oxford.

Wednesday, June 16

  Pleasant Agers will have their monthly meeting Wednesday, June 16, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Cal-houn County. There will be a potluck at 12 p.m. The church is located four miles west of Bruce on CR 231, across from the railroad on the left.

  Guest speaker will be Ms. Martha Dickson, who will be sharing her experiences during her recent trip to “The Holy Land.”

Saturday, June 19

  Hopewell M. B. Church will host its third mass choir summer concert, Jesus Rocks, June 19, from 6 p.m.-until in the Coffeeville High School auditorium.

    Along with the mass choir, special guests, Unified Praise of Grenada will also be on the program. All choirs, groups, soloists, praise teams, and dancers are cordially invited.
