June 25 – 27

    Everyone is invited to the annual meeting at Yalobusha Primitive Baptist Church, Water Valley, the fourth weekend in June (June 25, 26 and 27).

  Services Friday night, June 25, start at 7 p.m., and Saturday morning services are scheduled at  10:30 a.m., followed by lunch but no afternoon services.         Sunday morning  services will be held at 10:30 a.m.,  followed by lunch. Elder Larry Wise is the invited minister. Elder James Hall is the pastor of Yalobusha Primitive Baptist Church.

Saturday, June 26

    The Fishers of Men gospel group will sing at Hopewell Baptist Church Saturday, June 26, beginning at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. For more information, call Rick Glidewell, pastor, at 473-4916. Hopewell is located on CR 95.

Sunday, June 27

    Jumpers Chapel Congregational Methodist Church will host an ordination ceremony honoring Bobby R. Jones, June 27. Having met all requirements as a licensed and ordained minister of the Congregational Methodist denomination, Bobby will continue to serve the Lord Jesus Christ as associate pastor of Jumpers Chapel C.M.E. Church. The service will take place at 11 a.m. during the morning worship service with a reception following in the fellowship hall.

    “All friends and family are invited to come and help us honor Bobby’s service to our Lord,” invites Rev. Joel Jones, pastor.

  Moorse Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church will host children’s day June 27, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Minister T. K. Townsend will be the guest speaker for the afternoon. The community is asked to join with Moorse Chapel as they celebrate Jesus.

  Everdale M.B. Church will have a Youth Day Program June 27, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Ed Garrison and the Pine Grove East Church family will be special guests.

    Bayson Chapel Church will have its homecoming celebration Sunday, June 27. The morning service begins at 9:45 with Sunday school, followed by the worship service at 11. Pastor Amos Sims will bring the message. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m. The evening service begins at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Grady McKinney as the special guest for the evening. “Everyone is invited to come and help us give thanks unto the Lord at our annual homecoming celebration,” stated Sis., Ora L. Phillips, event chairperson.

June 28 – July 2

    Vacation Bible School will be held at Woodland Hills Baptist Church June 28 to July 2, from 6-8:30 p.m. each night. All youngsters, ages 4 years through those who have just completed 6th grade, are invited to attend.

  VBS will be held at Saddle Ridge Ranch, where students will be roundin’ up questions and drivin’ home answers. Classes will be for pre-school, grades first and second, grades third and fourth, and grades fifth and sixth.

  “Many churches have already had VBS, some with the same theme, but each school is unique, so come on out and see what is different at Woodland Hills,” invites VBS Director Betty Shearer. For more information call her at 473-1473, Mon.-Thurs. 8:30-5, or at 473-1616 after 5.

June 29 – July 2

    Bayson Chapel Church will have its annual Revival Services Tuesday, June 29, through Friday, July 2, beginning nightly at 7 p.m. Pastor Jerry Malone from Springfield M.B. Church will be the speaker for the week.     “Everyone is invited to come out and help us give thanks unto the Lord during these revival services,” says Rev. Amos Sims, pastor.
