July 12-16

 Youth Crusade 2010 is being held at Pleasant Grove Church July 12-16, beginning at 7 p.m. each night, and climaxing on July 18 at 6 p.m.

  Pastor Bartholomew Orr of Brown Missionary Baptist Church in Southaven will be the guest minister for the week of services.

  Pastor E. D. Goliday of Clear Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Oxford will be the guest minster for the culminating service on Sunday, July 18.

  Dr. Ethel Young-Minor, wife of Pastor Julius Minor, a powerful preacher in her own right, and Associate Professor at the University of Mississippi, will give a special appeal to the youth on Thursday night.

  “The crusade is not just for the congregation of Pleasant Grove. We hope the entire community will attend,” invites Rev. Larry J. Hervey, pastor.

Sunday, July 18

    The Miles Memorial C.M.E. Church congregation will celebrate their pastor and his wife in an appreciation program Sun-day, July 18, beginning at 3 p.m. Pastor and Mrs. Brian Davis, Sr. have labored faithfully in ministering to God’s people.

    Minister Ethel Phillips will be the speaker for the morning service and the speaker for the afternoon program will be Rev. Eddie Goliday of Clear Creek Mission-ary Baptist Church in Oxford. Lunch will be served immediately following the morning service.

 Sanders Chapel will celebrate the annual homecoming program this coming Sunday, July 18. Sunday School will begin at 10 a.m., with the morning service at 11 a.m. Pastor Mitchell Steen will bring the morning message.

  The evening speaker will be Pastor Amos Sims of Bayson Chapel Church. He will be accompanied by his church family. He will be speaking at 2:30 p.m.

  “Everyone is invited to come out and share this program with us,” stated Pastor Steen.

July 18 – 22

  New Providence M.B. Church in Water Valley is having its annual revival services July 18-22, Sunday-Thursday, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Mitchell Steen, pastor of Sanders Chapel M.B. Church, Water Valley, will be the evangelist for the week.         “Everyone is invited to come and worship with us during these revival services,” states Pastor Sidney Townes.

July 19 – 23

  Pleasant Green Church of Water Valley will have its annual revival services starting Monday night, July 19, and continuing through July 23. Services will begin at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Larry Ware, pastor of Bethlehem M.B. Church, will be the evangelist for the week.

Sunday, July 25

  Union Hill C.M.E. Church will sponsor a program  honoring pastor Rev. James Johnson, on July 25, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Ed Garrison will be the guest speaker. Guest choirs will be the Love Sisters of Oxford and the Gospel Harmonetts, also of Oxford.

 Pine Grove West Church will have its annual Choir Day July 25, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Cleveland Alexander and Sis. Pamela Pomlee, choir president, cordially invite everyone to attend this special program.

July 26 – 30

    Shiloh Baptist Church, Big Creek, will Saddle up for vacation Bible school July 26-30 from 6-8 p.m. Prepare now to get on board the Shiloh bus and head for the round up on Saddle Ridge Ranch. Rodeo clowns, bull riding and much more will be included as we sit around the campfire finding answers to God’s word.

July 28 – 30

 Martin Street Church of Christ will have a three-day vacation Bible school July 28, 29 and 30, from 6 until 8 p.m. each night. The church is located at 521 Martin Street, Water Valley.
