July 19 – 23

  Pleasant Green Church of Water Valley will have its annual revival services starting Monday night, July 19, and continuing through July 23. Services will begin at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Larry Ware, pastor of Bethlehem M.B. Church, will be the evangelist for the week.

Friday, July 23

    A bluegrass gospel singing, featuring Alan Sibley and the Magnolia Rambler will be held at Gatewood Church of God Friday, July 23, beginning at 7 p.m.

  The church is located at 2168 CR 211, Coffeeville. Pastor Fred Moorman invites everyone to attend this special program.

Saturday, July 24

    Mt. Liberty Church, located at 603 County Road 284, invites the public to join them for free cake and homemade ice cream on Saturday, July 24, at 6 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Without A Doubt.

  The Springhill North M.B. Church youth department will have a car wash Saturday, July 24, from 7 a.m.-until. The cost will be $5 for cars and $10 for trucks and SUVs.

July 23 – 25

    Revival services will be held at First United Pentecostal Church July 23-25. Services will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights, at 10 a.m. Sunday morning and at 6 p.m. Sunday night.         The guest evangelist will be Rev. Daniel Ballinger of North Carolina. “Everyone is cordially invited to attend any, or all, of these services,” says Rev. Charles Compton, pastor.

Sunday, July 25

  Union Hill C.M.E. Church will sponsor a program  honoring pastor Rev. James Johnson, on July 25, beginning at 3 p.m. Rev. Ed Garrison will be the guest speaker. Guest choirs will be the Love Sisters of Oxford and the Gospel Harmonetts, also of Oxford.

    Pine Grove West Church will have its annual Choir Day July 25, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Cleveland Alexander and Sis. Pamela Pomlee, choir president, cordially invite everyone to attend this special program.

    The women at Pleasant Grove Church invite all to share in their annual Woman’s Day on Sunday, July 25, during morning worship immediately following baptismal service at 10:50 a.m. Edna Williams of Grenada will be the keynote speaker.

July 28 – 30

    Martin Street Church of Christ will have a three-day vacation Bible school July 28, 29 and 30, from 6 until 8 p.m. each night. The church is located at 521 Martin Street, Water Valley.

August 1-6

   Revival services will be held in Drivers Flat Baptist Church Sunday, August 1, through Friday, August 6.

  The Sunday homecoming services will begin at 10 a.m. and Bro. Roger Webb will bring the messages. Lunch will be served about noon in the fellowship hall. Guest singers for the homecoming services will be The Coleman Family.

  Weeknight services, with Bro. Webb, will begin each night at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the Friday night service.

  The church is located on Calhoun County Road 284, about two and one-quarter miles west of Highway 9-W.

August 2 – 6

  United M.B. Church, located six miles east of Coffeeville on Highway 330, will have revival services August 2-6, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Sammie Townes, pastor of Traveler’s Rest, will be the evangelist for the week.

Saturday, August 7

  Springhill North M.B. Church will have a bake sale Saturday, August 7. Available will be homemade cakes and fried pies. For more information call 473-4142 or 473-1336.

August 8-12

  Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, 985 CR 169, Coffeeville, will have revival services August 8-12, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. The guest speaker for the week will be Pastor Marcus Dudley of Kingdom Movement Community Church, Coffeeville.
