Wednesday, August 18
Pleasant Agers will have their monthly meeting with a potluck lunch at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on August 18 at noon. Mary White, a retired school teacher from Pontotoc, will be the guest speaker. Pastor Ron Jenkins invites everyone to attend.
Sunday, August 22
Pleasant Grove will celebrate family and friends day on Sunday, August 22. All former members, family, friends, and people who have loved-ones buried in the cemetery are asked to join in the spiritual festivities, which include a fellowship luncheon and a special program at 2:30 p.m., in addition to the morning worship.
Pleasant Grove member, Pastor Barney Martin and the United Missionary Baptist Church family will be special guests.
August 23 – 27
Revival services will be held at Pleasant Grove Church August 23-27, beginning at 7 p.m. each night. Pastor S. L. Blake of Burning Bush Missionary Baptist Church in Grenada will deliver the word each night.
“Everyone is invited to be our special guests any or all nights of these revival services. We look forward to sharing a spirit-filled week of anointed teaching, preaching, praise and worship with you,” invites Rev. Larry Hervey, pastor.

Sanders Chapel, located in Water Valley, will host its mid-week service program August 25, beginning at 6 p.m. Minister Steven Allen will be the speaker for the night.
“Everyone is invited to share this program with the Sanders Chapel Church family,” reports Pastor Mitchell Steen.
Saturday, August 28
The members of Massey Grove Missionary Baptist Church invite the public to come help lift up the name of Jesus and aid Sis. Linda White and Sis. Emogene Benson on August 28 at 6 p.m.” Churches are asked to participate by rendering an A & B song selection.

Chapel Hill M.B. Church, located at 1140 CR 118, Water Valley, will celebrate the first year anniversary of their pastor, Rev. Jerome Battle. This special service will be held Sunday, August 29, beginning at 3 p.m.
The guest speaker for the evening service will be Rev. Eugene Wright of Greater New Life Church in Coldwater. He will be accompanied by his church family.
“Come, help us lift up the mighty name of Jesus, through song, word and ministry. Join us and be blessed and also be a blessing,” invites the Chapel Hill Church family.
Sunday, Sept. 5
Woodland Hills Baptist Church will celebrate its 10th Anniversary, with a first homecoming celebration on Sunday, September 5.
The day’s program will begin with Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. At the 10:30 worship hour, Rev. Jimmy Dale Sartain of Nashville, former interim pastor, will bring the message. Linda Williams of Abbeville, a former minister of music, will be in charge of the music. This will be followed by a pot-luck lunch.
There will be entertainment in the afternoon.
“Current members are urged to attend, and all former pastors, members, families and friends, are cordially invited to attend this special service,” stated Rev. Ken Izzard, pastor.
