• NOTABLES: WV has now won the last 5 of 6 games dating back to last year. For the first time in history the Devils played back to back overtime games. WV lost to Belmont last year during the play-off’s and this year beating Bruce.  The Devils improve their overtime record to 9-3. WV now holds a 5-1 advantage in season opener’s against the Trojans, while bettering their overall record to 39-27-1. Coffeeville’s win over the Devils last season, was the first since a 22-15 victory in 1999. The 34 points the Water Valley defense gave up against the Pirates was the second most in the series. The Blue Devils marked a milestone with the victory over Bruce, winning their 375th game since 1942.
