Town, Country Teams Compete In Finale

    The softball action season finale, 2010 Town and Country Championship, will be played Sunday, October 31 (Halloween), beginning at 2 p.m. on the Water Valley fields. When this game is played everyone who is a member of the team and the fans know that the long spring and summer softball season is over.

    This year it will be different. It will be very competitive, when players from town meet country, which consist of 90 percent of non-active Atomic Dogs. But this year it will be original Atomic Dogs vs the young Atomic Dogs. They all played together this past season.

    Best two-out-of-three wins the trophy, which has been with the town team for two years straight. Last year the town team won on a forfeit after the country team did not show

     Jerry Bailey, long time coach of country, will team up with Brenda Conard, to head up the strong country team in this season’s finale.

  On Halloween come out and see who gets the treats and who gets tricked. It will be interesting, because both teams can hit.

  The original Dogs have got a secret weapon. It’s Hootie Rodney White coming home for this event.
