Water Valley Athletic Department Offers Chances To Win A Steer

Hurry, buy your tickets today!  Athletes at Water Valley High School are selling chances to win one of three Black Angus steers donated to the Water Valley Athletic Department by Ingram Cattle Company and John Ingram.

“This is a wonderful gift for the school athletics. There is no better quality beef than Angus from Ingram Farms,” Athletic Director Trey Allman reported.

The last day to purchase a ticket will be January 13. There will be three individual drawings. Ingram Farms will deliver the steer to the meat processor for each of the three winners. Each steer’s dressed weight will be around 500 pounds.

Tickets cost $10 each or 12 for $100. Proceeds will benefit all Water Valley High School athletes.

The money from ticket sales will be appropriated to each sport, based on what the athlete who sells the ticket plays, according to Allman.
