June 1 -3

    Moorse Chapel will have  three nights of revival services, ”Year of the Turnaround,” June 1-3, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Mitchell Steen, pastor of Sanders Chapel M.B. Church, will be the guest revivalist.

     “Join us as we celebrate the ‘Year of the Turnaround’ Part II,” invites Elder Kevin D. Coakley and the Moorse Chapel Church Family.

Sunday, June 5

    Moorse Chapel Church will celebrate their 53rd annual Memorial Day Celebration June 5, beginning with the morning service at 11:15 a.m, the annual memorial march, and climaxing with the evening service beginning at 3 p.m. The theme of the celebration this year will be “We Inherit the Past to Build the Future.”

    Rev. Roger Pearson, pastor of Hopewell M.B. Church of Grand Junction, Tenn., will be the afternoon speaker.

    “Please join us as we remember those who have paved the way for us,” invites Elder Kevin Coakley and the Moorse Chapel Church Family.


    Hopewell Baptist Church will host the devotion at Yalobusha County Nursing Home on Sunday, June 5, beginning at 2:30 p.m.


    Rev. Dennis Townes will be the guest speaker at Victory Baptist Church on Sunday, June 5.

June 6 – 10

  Vacation Bible School will be held at Adonai Church, located on Highway 315, west of Water Valley. The school will be June 6-10, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. each night. There will be classes will for age 4 through 6th grade and all young people in this age range are invited to attend.

June 12-15

  Sherman Baptist Church will have revival services June 12-15. The Sunday service will begin at 6 p.m. and services Monday-Wednesday will start at 7 p.m. Rev. Johnny Franklin (Frank) Dunn will be the guest speaker.

    The church is located on Highway 32 West towards Bruce. “Everyone is invited to attend these revival services,” invites Rev. James Calder, pastor.
