Saturday June 18
The Missionary Department of Union Hill C.M.E. Church will hold a yard sale June 18, beginning at 6 a.m., under the old farmer’s market pavilion, across from City Hall. There will be a large variety of items, all priced to sell. Proceeds will benefit the Missionary treasury.
Hopewell M.B. Church will have their annual concert Saturday, June 18, beginning at 6 p.m. All choirs, soloists, groups. and praise teams are invited to participate in this event, helping to lift up the name of the most High God. “We are on the move for Christ, worshiping Him in spirit and in truth and we cordially invite everyone to attend this special program,” says Pastor Lawrence Matthews and the Hopewell Church Family.
There will be a Musician’s Appreciation Celebration for Patrick Benson and Danny Smith on Saturday, June 18, beginning at 6 p.m. The celebration will be held at Massey Grove M.B. Church, 42 CR 20, Oakland. “We cordially invite all choirs, groups, soloist, and God’s people to attend this special event. We look forward to seeing you there,” says the Massey Grove Church Family.
Sunday June 19
A Fathers Day Program will be held at Sanders Chapel M.B. Church on June 19, beginning at 8:35 a.m. Minister Tommie Turner will be the speaker for the morning services. “Everyone is invited to attend this special service,” invites Pastor Mitchell Steen and the church family.
Pleasant Grove will celebrate Father’s Day during the 8 a.m. morning worship service. Everyone is invited to share in this observance and to show fathers that they are loved unconditionally, just as much as mothers are, especially since they sometimes feel that they get less attention.
“Come and celebrate fathers and praise our heavenly Father,” invites Rev. Larry J. Hervey, pastor, and the program committee, Aita Bledsoe, Beverly Walker, and LaRhonda Warren.
Sunday June 26
The Usher Ministry of Pleasant Grove extends an invitation to attend the Annual Usher Day Program. This year’s program will be held June 26, beginning at 2:30 p.m. with church member, William Jones, Jr., as the speaker.
As customary, everyone is invited, but all ushers are encouraged to attend and they are asked to dress in uniform. “We pray that you will try your best to come our way,” invites Usher President Lillie Roberts.
